Deadline Hollywood is reporting Kevin Hart and John Cena will star and produce the Netflix action comedy "The Leading Man", based off a 2006 Jeremy Haun and B. Clay Moore Oni Press graphic novel of the same name.
In 2011, Universal originally wanted to produce a film on the original graphic novel with Justin Lin directing.
The current project has the following log line:
"When a self-absorbed movie star (Cena) discovers that his co-star/man in the chair (Hart) is an actual agent, he’s forced to swallow his pride and accept that action stars aren’t really action heroes…while trying to save the world."
