I subscribe to the standalone ESPN+ service. Will I get the WWE PLE’s there?
No, the WWE events will stream on a new service ESPN is about to launch. The existing ESPN+ will be part of that service.
Are the rights to the WWE Network still out there and available?
Yes, Nick Khan made it clear during yesterday's TKO earnings call that WWE NXT PPVs and the WWE Library archives are still available for new deals.
When do the rights to the Network expire?
The rights Peacock has for that material expires mid-March 2026, we are told, unless they reach a deal to renew them.
I saw the list of cable providers that will include the new ESPN/WWE stuff but mine isn't listed. Am I screwed?
I would advise patience. There's a long time between now and April 2026. Certainly more deals will be made.
Any word on the status of WWE Speed? They haven't aired a new show in a month although Sol Ruca still comes out with the Speed Title on NXT and is referred to as such. Is it possible that the deal with X expired and they're looking for a new platform to air it on?
WWE has not responded to a request for comment on the issue as of this writing. The most likely scenario is they haven't come to terms to continue the show so it's on hiatus until they determine its future.
Why doesn't Tony Khan air Ring of Honor on YouTube like he did with Dark and Elevation? It would reach a lot more of his core audience since it would be broadcast for free rather than behind a paywall.
He's getting paid via the WatchROH.com subscribers. Until/unless he gets a larger TV deal for the series, that's where he wants it to reside.
