We take a look back at highlights from SummerSlam.
Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring with Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman.
The crowd chants for CM Punk.
Paul introduces himself and eh says that he is the GOAT. He says he is not just the greatest of all time, he is your humble oracle. Humble by the fact that he stands here in the presence of the future of WWE, the Big Dog who patrols our yard. Humbled by the fact that he stands in the same ring as the tribal thief, the owner of Roman's shoes.
Paul says at this point he would be introducing the champion, Roman Reigns, but Roman hasn't been champion for a year and a half, has he? Paul says he would be introducing you to the World Champion, the best in the world, CM Punk. He wasn't champion long enough for them to put his side plates on the title belt. All of you were part of CM Punk having one of the greatest title matches with Gunther, he was thinking you for chanting his name. He thought he would be married to that title forever. Not only did Seth crash the wedding, he stole the honeymoon.
Paul introduces Seth Rollins.
Seth says shame on you. Shame on every single one of you who turned your back on hiim after he won the main event of Wrestlemania. Shame on every single one of you, who for months taunted him with chants of CM Punk. Shame on every single one of you for months who have taunted him with chants of OTC. Seth says never doubt him again. Is Roman the World Champion? Is CM Punk the World Champion? Seth says he is the World Champion.
Seth says shame on every one of you who turned your back on him. Seth says he has been a marked man for months. Shame not on those in the crowd and at home who turned their back on him. Shame on every person in the locker room who made it their mission to keep him from cashing in his contract. Seth says everyone back there thinks they are so smart. They think they are so clever. They are going to stop him at every turn. Seth says he always has a Plan B. This Plan B was top secret. He told two people in the entire world. One was his wife. The other was Paul Heyman. Together they have achieved what they set out to achieve. They have absolute power and there is nobody who can stop them. This is the past, the present, and the future. This is the way forward. This is the Vision.
LA Knight's music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Knight congratulates Seth, Paul, and the morons, but he wants to talk to ya. Knight says he is not here for a fight. He wants to answer some questions. People are wondering that Seth had the briefcase so why would he fake an injury? Knight says Seth wasn't faking the injury to get the title, he was faking the injury to get out of something else. Knight says he wanted Seth's dignity and he wanted to hurt him at Saturday Night's Main Event. He says he got the three count on Seth and that is where it gets interesting.
Knight says you pulled the wool over your eyes so far you couldn't see. Knight says he went on a little vacation and saw what Seth did at SummerSlam so he had to get to Brooklyn. Knight says he was the last one to beat Seth and he says he will be the next one to beat him. Knight says that Seth gave him the ammunition. Now, when he beats Seth, he will take the title from Seth. Knight says there is no better place than now, or here, and no better time than now.
Seth says Knight has some guts. You want to come into his ring and challenge him for the title? Seth asks if he has the guts or the balls? Do you want to fight tonight for the title? Seth says it isn't happening. Seth leaves the ring.
Everyone else leaves the ring.
Adam Pearce comes out and he stops everyone.
Adam says he has a few things to get off his chest. Normally, he wouldn't set up a title match with no promotion. Adam says a person wouldn't lie to him about his medical status. A champion wouldn't lie to the general manager and to the people.
Adam says Seth will face LA Knight tonight for the World Title.
Adam says since you stole a great moment from the fans at SummerSlam, Bron and Bronson are banned from ringside.
Judgment Day walks in the back and he says this is no better way to celebrate 20 years.
Raquel and Roxanne walk off to regroup.
Dom wants to know why Cruz, Dragon Lee, and Wilde are in his hallway since he is king of the luchadores.
Dragon Lee challenges Dom to a match tonight and Dom accepts.
AJ shows up and he tells Dom that he isn't going to slap him around, yet. He says what Dom did last night was clever with the boot. AJ says he is still coming after him for the IC title. As long as he has it, he is coming after him. AJ says Dom will run out of tricks. AJ says he is one of the best and Dom's time is running out.
Match Number One: Rusev versus SheamusR
Rusev punches Sheamus as Sheamus enters the ring. They throw many punches and Rusev gets the advantage for a moment. Sheamus with a punch. Sheamus blocks a hip toss and Sheamus with a short arm clothesline. Sheamus clotheslines Rusev over the top rope to the floor. Sheamus comes off the apron but Rusev with a kick to the midsection followed by an Irish whip into the ringside barrier. Rusev sends Sheamus back into the ring and he runs into boots from Sheamus. Rusev with an exploder. Rusev with a forearm to the back. Sheamus with punches and Rusev with a boot to the head. Rusev with a head butt and elbow drop followed by a kick to the back. Rusev chokes Sheamus. Rusev with a European uppercut and then they exchange punches. Rusev with a knee to the midsection. Rusev goes up top and Sheamus chops him.
Sheamus with a punch and he goes up top. Sheamus gets Rusev on his shoulders for a Super Air Raid Crash and he hits it. Sheamus with a knee drop to Rusev. Rusev with a knee to Sheamus and punches. Sheamus with a forearm and he fish hooks Rusev in the ropes. Sheamus with a knee lift to Rusev on the apron and he goes up top and hits a clothesline for a near fall. Rusev with a drop kick for a near fall. Rusev with kicks and he rakes the back. Rusev with shoulders in the corner. Rusev with a snap mare and a reverse chin lock. Rusev uses his body weight to add more pressure on the hold. Rusev kicks Sheamus in the chest but Sheamus wants more from Rusev. Rusev with kicks to the chest and Sheamus is going full Dux and he blocks a kick and punches Rusev. Sheamus with a uranage back breaker.
Sheamus forces Rusev to the apron and he tries for the forearms but Rusev drops Sheamus on the top rope. Sheamus misses a Brogue Kick and Sheamus gets caught in the ropes. Sheamus gets to the apron and he goes for the forearms and Rusev sends Sheamus into the ring post and Sheamus goes to the floor. Sheamus picks up Rusev and slams Rusev onto the announce table. Sheamus breaks the count and Rusev sends Sheamus into the ring steps. Sheamus sends Rusev over the ringside barrier but Rusev with forearms to the chest. Rusev argues with fans and that allows Sheamus to set for the forearms against the ringside barrier.
The referee makes the ten count.
Double Count Out
After the match, the referee tries to separate Rusev and Sheamus. Officials come out and Rusev picks up the top of the ring steps and he hits Sheamus in the head with the steps. Rusev picks up the shillelagh and Sheamus with a Brogue Kick and they have to be separated again. Sheamus and Rusev with clotheslines on the floor.
We see The New Day earlier today and Woods has a hat from Big Trouble in Little China.
Waller wants to know where they were last week and he says they were watching in the back.
Kofi says Waller is doing well becuse he got rid of Theory.
Kofi and Woods say they are not in the right mind and they won't get there until they win the tag titles. They blame Adam Pearce.
Waller yells at Pearce but he interrupts Penta.
Waller says he is representing the New Day and they want a tag title rematch.
Pearce tells Waller to tell him they need to earn a title match. He says that Waller has earned a match against Penta tonight.
Match Number Two: Penta versus Grayson Waller
They lock up and Waller gets free. Penta with a waist lock and Waller avoids a head lock. Waller with a side head lock. Penta with a reversal and Penta struts over Waller's back. Penta with a head scissors take down and Waller goes to the floor.
The music for the New Day plays and they make their way to the ring.
Waller returns to the ring and Penta blocks a kick. Penta with a kick in the corner and he sets for the hesitation drop kick but Waller goes to the floor. Waller sends Penta into the announce table and he slides to the floor and hits a clothesline. Waller sends Penta's head into the apron and he hits an elbow drop for a near fall. Penta blocks a suplex with an inside cradle for a near fall. Waller kicks Penta and kicks his foot on the ropes. Waller sends Penta into the turnbuckles and he punches him. Penta chops Waller. Penta with a chop in the corner. Waller with a punch and he gets a near fall. Waller with a cravate.
Penta with kicks and a wraparound bulldog. Penta with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker and a kick in the corner followed b a hesitation headstand drop kick for a near fall. Waller with a rolling elbow and he gets Penta up for a sit out power bomb for a near fall. Waller misses a springboard elbow drop and Penta with a rollup. Penta goes for the Penta Driver and Waller escapes. Penta with a super kick and Waller with a kick. Penta with a kick and Waller with a jumping knee. Both men are down with clotheslines at the same time. Waller drops Penta on the top rope but Penta with a kick when Waller goes for a slingshot rolling cutter. Penta with a thrust kick and Destroyer for the three count.
Winner: Penta
After that match Kofi ha some words for Penta and then he pushes Woods and his giant hat onto Kofi. He sends Kofi and Woods to the floor. Penta puts on his Big Trouble in Little China hat on and he tosses it onto Woods and Kofi and follows with a flip dive.
