CJ 'LANA' PERRY PENNING FICTION NOVEL 'BULLETPROOF ANGEL' IN ADVANCE OF PLANNED FILM ADAPTATION

By Mike Johnson on 2025-07-21 19:50:00

Deadline.com reported this evening that former WWE star CJ "Lana" Perry is teaming with screenwriter Blake Northcott on the fiction novel Bulletproof Angel in a deal put together by her talent agency Paradigm's The Sports Group.

Deadline's report noted, "Bulletproof Angel is a high-octane international spy thriller that centers on a brilliant young CIA agent and her estranged mother, a retired operative with a haunted past. They are forced to work together behind enemy lines to stop an AI-powered weapon system capable of triggering global catastrophe."

Paradigm is launching an initiative with the idea of developing and releasing books that will then be developed into film and television properties.  There's no word if the idea is for Perry to star in the project.

Perry signed a WWE Legends deal earlier this year.

Additional fiction titles are in development according to the article, with the idea they will be co-authored with other Paradigm clients including Damian Priest and Sheamus.

“WWE talent are natural storytellers with massive global platforms, which makes them incredibly appealing to top-tier authors and publishers,” Ian Kleinert, publishing agent at Paradigm told Deadline.com. “This collaboration is about building IP with real cross-platform potential, and Bulletproof Angel is a perfect example of what happens when you combine worlds. The long-term vision is to use all of Paradigm’s expertise to further develop these properties for film and television and build a content library under each client’s creative umbrella.”

Not mentioned is whether CM Punk, Blake Monroe and other Paradigm clients will follow suit.
