It’s Wednesday and AEW Dynamite is live from Albuquerque, NM at the Rio Rancho Events Center. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Ian Riccaboni, and Taz.
Tony Schiavone is in the ring and brings out Adam Page and Will Ospreay. After Tony sets the stage, he lets them talk. Ospreay says security isn’t needed and dismisses them. Ospreay then asks Page if he still drinks and he apologizes for hitting Page last week and hands him a beer. Page takes the beer but still looks askance at him. Ospreay asks that they be the main event on Sunday, He says the winner of their match wins the Owen Hart cup, they get a title shot, and they have the responsibility bringing back the title.
He talks about what he does to perform and how he wants to bring that title to the world and have it at Forbidden Door to thank people for their support through the years, in an arena 30 minutes from his house. He knows Page wants the title, but he wants it that little bit more.
Page says that is the difference between them. Page knows Ospreay wants the title and the title is the greatest honor in wrestling. Page says for Ospreay it is a professional accomplishment, but for Page it is personal. He doesn’t want the opportunity, he needs it. He hasn’t had any other titles since he lost the title. Page says his children are disappointed in him, his wife pities him, and he needs his family to know he is the man they deserve. Page needs to know that there is some kind of light after his two years of hell. He needs to know that Ospreay was wrong when he said it was too little, too late.
Ospreay asks what Page will do to win. Will Page put him out of the business like he did Christopher Daniels. He knows he has lost in the past, but he didn’t lose by cheating, and he lost, he won the fans’ respect.
They yell at each other about how one of them will have to beat Jon Moxley. Ospreay says that Page’s attention has been on Swerve, not on winning the title. Ospreay says people don’t look up to Page anymore. Ospreay says he is just a man who will do his best, and he lists the people he’s beaten and says his best is the best in (something censored) world. He wants to be able to look at Page and be proud of him, and no matter who wins, beating Mox will take people working together and he hopes they have each other’s backs.
They each drink their beers and go face to face. We are told that they will have the main event at Double or Nothing.
We then get a rebuttal from Jon Moxley, who takes the long walk into the building and says the spoils will go to those who embrace the anarchy.
Jon Moxley and the Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) w/Marina Shafir vs Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Swerve Strickland w/Prince Nana
Joe and Mox attack each other as soon as the bell rings. They go to their corners and they are each held back by the other members of their team. In the back, Alicia Atout is with the Hurt Syndicate and their lawyer. MVP says MJF should be the most excited, and he shows in a new shiny suit and he is. After MJF shakes the hand of MVP’s lawyer, he asks for hand sanitizer.
It’s time for a contract signing. This time, it isn’t for an upcoming match, it’s for MJF joining the Hurt Syndicate, and MVP and the Hurt Syndicate come to the ring where their lawyers are waiting. MVP grabs a mic and he announces what will be happening and calls out MJF.
MJF comes to the ring, heels the crowd, and MJF says mother told him the most important day will be the day he marries the love of his life. He then says that dumb bitch didn’t get to join the Hurt Syndicate. MVP yells at the crowd for booing, and heels them. MJF and MVP keep mocking the crowd.
Oddly, it’s the first time MVP has really been a heel in the ring since coming to AEW.
Signatures are completed after Bobby Lashley takes some time and has to talk with Shelton and MVP before signing.
Before MJF can say anything, Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara come out. MJF tells them to leave and Dustin cuts him off and runs down MJF. He says he has respect from MVP, and he needs to watch out for MJF as a snake in the grass. Dustin then cuts a promo about how he and Sammy are Day One Guys and they want more gold. He says he knows they like to hurt people and he dares them to hurt him.
Dustin says there is nothing they can do than bigger and better people haven’t done. He finishes up with a fiery babyface promo.

The ref is making sure Gunn doesn't roll Ricochet back into the ring and when Bowens grabs Ricochet, Ricochet nails him with a pair of scissors. Ricochet returns to the ring, hits a Spirit Gunn for the pin and the win.
Winner: Ricochet
Ricochet stops on the stage to yell at the crowd and Mark Briscoe comes from the back with a stretcher and Mark rams it into him and then beats him down. Mark loads Ricochet onto the stretcher and goes to the top. Ricochet rolls off the stretcher and runs to the back.
In the back, Stokley and FTR give a promo where Stokley says that FTR is the best tag team alive and he hypes up the contract signing for their match as the last contact Nigel McGuinness will ever sign in his career.
Renee is in the ring with Mercedes Mone and Jamie Hayter. Renee asks Hayter about being the underdog. Hayter says she doesn’t mind being the underdog, she hates when people look past her. She will fight to the top again no matter what happens. She doesn’t walk around with arrogance and having people doing her dirty work. She’s a fighter. She says the title match means more to her than it does to Mone. She says this is about not being forgotten. She talks about why winning validates her struggle.
Mone then says she isn’t worried about facing Hayter, and says Hayter doesn’t have Mone figured out. Mone is the Beyoncé of women’s wrestling. She is looking right through Hayter and she always gets what she wants and at All In, she will become the AEW Women’s Champion. Money puts herself over, bragging about her accomplishments. It’s not just about winning, it’s about her legacy.
Hayter then asks everyone if there is something different about Mone and she is missing the NJPW Strong Women’s title. She says Mone’s destiny is to lose everything.
