5/20 NWA POWERRR TV REPORT

Welcome to PWInsider.com’s coverage of NWA Powerrr for May 20, 2025! Scheduled for the show is the following:

*NWA World Television Champion Carson Drake vs. Baron Von Storm vs. Pretty Boy Smooth

*Mims & BLK Jeez vs. Slade & Mike Mondo

*Daisy Kill & Talos vs. Damien Fenrir & Dante Casanova

Daisy Kill & Talos vs. Damien Fenrir & Dante Casanova

Talos and Damien Fenrir start things off with Talos shoving Fenrir. Fenrir returns with a slap. Talos grabs Fenrir and gives him a knee. He then drives Fenrir into the corner and tags in Daisy Kill. Kill grabs an arm on Fenrir and cranks it. Fenrir hits the ropes and Kill drops down. Fenrir hits a sliding kick. Fenrir then chops Kill a few times and tries to send him into the corner. Kill reverses and Fenrir leaps over Kill and then flips away from him. 

Dante Casanova tags in and he hits a double suplex with Fenrir for a two count. Casanova grabs a side headlock and then takes Kill over. Kill reverses, but Casanova quickly gets up and hits an arm drag. He holds on for an arm bar. Kill drives Casanova to the ropes, but it’s close to Fenrir. Fenrir tags in and chops Kill. Kill hits the ropes and Talos makes a blind tag. Talos hits a clothesline on Fenrir and then hits a standing fallaway slam.

Talos tags in Kill, who clubs down on Fenrir. Kill stretches Fenrir in the corner and tags in Talos, who slaps Fenrir’s chest hard while he’s still in the stretch from Kill. Talos hits a big running splash in the corner and then hits a standing sidewalk slam. Kill tags back in. Kill spits at Casanova, who tries to get into the ring to get revenge. The referee stops Casanova as Kill grabs a wrist lock takeover on Fenrir. Kill uses the ropes for more leverage, but the referee breaks it up.

Kill slingshots Fenrir into the corner and holds onto him. Talos tags in and stomps down on Fenrir. Talso lifts up Fenrir, but Damien wiggles out and hits a dropkick. Casanova tags in and comes in hot on Kill, who also tagged in. Casanova hits a flurry of strikes and then slams Kill’s head into the mat multiple times. Casanova hits a clothesline and then hits the ropes. Fenrir makes a blind tag and Casanova doesn’t appreciate it. Casanova and Fenrir have words. Fenrir shoves Casanova to the floor. Talos misses a big boot. Kill tries to hit Fenrir with an accordian, but Fenrir ducks. Talos hits a powerbomb and Kill makes the cover for the win!

Winners: Daisy Kill and Talos

Aron Stevens talks about being an entertainment icon. There are too many varieties of ice cream to choose from to describe himself. Jeremiah Plunkett says that Stevens is like dark chocolate - good for you, but he’s a little bit better. Stevens says that he’s a mocha gelato with chocolate sprinkles, maybe some marshmallows, and whipped cream. Tommy Rant loves Stevens so much. Bryan Idol says that Stevens would be a tropical flavor. Carson Drake says that Stevens would be a cheese - aged and bad smelling. Stevens says that food is always better dipped. Thom Latimer says that Stevens would be a mosquito if he were an animal - a blood-sucking parasite. Does Aron Stevens have a redeeming quality? Billy Corgan says that he dresses nice. Drake agrees with the attire. Rant says that Stevens is a little pretty. Drake makes fun of Stevens’ golf skills. Latimer describes what a friend should be and, therefore, could not be friends with Stevens.

An NWA Shop commercial airs.

NWA World Television Champion Carson Drake vs. Baron Von Storm vs. Pretty Boy Smooth with EC3 and Pastor C-Lo

Carson Drake and Baron Von Storm stare each other down to start. Pretty Boy Smooth joins the staring and then eats punches from both Drake and Storm. Smooth continues to take punishment in the corner with double kicks. Drake and Storm send Smooth across the ring. He comes out with a big chop on Drake. Smooth then hits a big boot on Drake. Storm clubs Smooth from behind and then works him over in the corner. Drake rolls Storm up, but Storm kicks out. Smooth catches Drake and tosses him to the apron. Smooth hits a splash on Storm in the corner.

Smooth ducks a Storm clothesline. Storm goes for the claw on Storm, but Drake breaks it up. Storm slaps on a sleeper hold/reverse claw on Drake. Smooth grabs a sleeper on Storm while Storm still has Drake in his hold. The referee checks Drake and Storm, but they still stay in it. Drake ends up hitting a double jawbreaker to break the holds. Storm hits a splash on Drake in the corner and chops him. Storm hits a Samoan Drop on Drake and signals for the claw. He waives it off, though, and hits a clothesline on Drake.

Storm stomps down on Drake in the corner. Smooth has been on the outside getting counsel from EC3 and Pastor C-Lo. Storm notices and goes over to Smooth. Smooth pulls Storm down and Brandon Barretta comes out to have words with Smooth.

Storm gets up and signals for the claw again. Drake doesn’t realize and decides to dance. Drake turns around and Storm locks the claw onto him. Drake falls to his knees and then the mat. Just as the referee goes to count the pinfall, the 6:05 time limit expires.

Winner: Time Limit Draw - Carson Drake retains the NWA World Television Champion

After the match, Carson Drake calls for Kyle Davis to come into the ring with the microphone. This was Drake’s seventh successful defense of the NWA World Television Title and now can challenge Thom Latimer for the NWA World Title. Drake says that Latimer cannot beat him.

An Around the Territories update airs with future NWA events announced.

Aron Stevens talks about being the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. The one mountain he’d love to climb is…himself. Thom Latimer always takes the less physical route, which is not the NWA way. Stevens is a big threat because he can go at Latimer in many ways - including mind games. Billy Corgan doesn’t think Stevens’ karate skills are very good. He’s seen Stevens use it on children effectively, but never an adult. Stevens has gotten close to the NWA World Title, but has never held it. Stevens is ready to receive his flowers…and his flowers look like ten pounds of gold. Stevens is going to attack Latimer in ways that don’t even exist yet to take his place in history.

Latimer says that if Stevens can beat him, it’ll be Aron’s greatest accomplishment. EC3 interrupts Latimer and tells him that he comes in peace. EC3 doesn’t want Latimer to talk badly about Stevens. On the 365th day, EC3 will rise again.

Mims & BLK Jeez vs. Slade & Mike Mondo with “El Jefe” Rolando

Slade and BLK Jeez start things off with a lockup. Slade drops down and hits a fireman’s carry into an arm bar. Jeez stands up, but Slade takes him down again and tries a roll up. Slade gets a two count and then slaps on a front face lock. Slade spins around on Jeez’s back and Jeez doesn’t appreciate it. Jeez charges at Slade and eats an arm drag. Slade holds onto an arm bar and then cranks Jeez’s arm as he tags in Mike Mondo.

Monda continues the arm attack. He takes Jeez over and slams his arm into the mat for a two count. Slade tags back in and hits a backbreaker. Mondo drops an elbow and Slade gets a two count. Slade deadlifts Jeez up, but Jeez hits a back elbow and tags in Mims. Mims hits a tackle on Slade and then trash talks Mondo. Mims hits shoulder attacks on Slade in the corner.

Slade wiggles out of a lift from Mims and hits him with a flurry of punches. Mondo tags in. Slade hits an inverted atomic drop and Mondo hits a clothesline for a two count. Mondo slaps on a chinlock. Mims hits a jawbreaker and tags in Jeez. Jeez hits Mondo from behind and then clubs down on his back. Jeez goes for a suplex, but Mondo blocks it and hits a suplex of his own.

Slade tags back in and hits a butterfly suplex for a two count. Slade slaps on the Slade Lock. Mondo distracts the referee, which allows Mims to break up the Slade Lock. Mims tags in and works Slade over in the corner as the episode goes to a commercial.

Back from the break, Mims brings Slade over to the corner and Jeez tags in. Jeez works Slade over in the corner with some chops. Slade fights back with chops of his own until Jeez takes out Slade’s leg. Mims tags in and double teams Slade. Jeez tags back in and chokes Slade as Mims distracts the referee. Slade tries a roll up, but Slade kicks out. Mims tags back in and hits a running elbow in the corner. He hits a snapmare and slaps a chinlock on Slade.

Slade tries to fight out of it, but Mims drags him down and tags in Jeez. Jeez takes Slade over and slaps on an arm bar. Slade tries to fight back, but gets dragged down again. Jeez climbs to the top rope and goes for a double stomp, but Slade moves out of the way and hits a German Suplex. Slade tags in Mondo, who comes in hot on Jeez and then knocks Mims off of the apron. Mondo hits a dropkick on Jeez and then hits a snapmare driver. Mims breaks up the pin attempt and then tries to double team Mondo. Mondo fights it off with a double clothesline. 

Mondo shakes off Mims' comeback attempt and Slade hits Mims with a leaping knee. Mondo hits Gut Check on Jeez for the win!

Winners: Slade and Mike Mondo

After the match, Mike Mondo puts BLK Jeez in the Boston Crab until Mims breaks it up.

Earlier this week, the Decision 2025 Debate was held for the NWA President. Joe Galli is joined by the candidates - Kenzie Paige, Joe Cazana, and Pastor C-Lo. Paige will initiate change in the NWA by providing flights, limos, and money. Cazana has always been in the NWA and will keep things going how they are. Pastor C-Lo will bring enlightenment, the holy word, and everything one can imagine. Believe in Pastor C-Lo and the future will be beautiful. Cazana says that he’s the only person running with integrity. Galli talks about Cazana’s allegations of bribery and promises. Cazana says that the accusations are blasphemy. Paige says that everyone knows who to vote for - her.
