ETU returned to The Mecca in Ridgefield Park on Sunday, May 18th to present “Whatever It Takes.” The show streamed live on IWTV and will be added to the On Demand catalogue soon. The results were as follows:

1) B3CCA defeated Janai Kai by Disqualification. Kai wanted to kick things off fast to start the show. She called for B3CCA to come out and fight instead of singing. B3CCA came out and sang anyway, performing her diss track - “Mid Demon.” Kai chased B3CCA during her singing entrance before the match officially got started. Once the match did start, though, B3CCA and Kai had a very hard hitting match. B3CCA introduced a chair to the match and promised the referee that she wouldn’t use it. She only placed Kai on it and then struck her. Kai then introduced a chair of her own and used it to wallop B3CCA, which caused the disqualification.

2) Conan Lycan defeated Gabriel Skye, Brayden Toon, and Ultra Jaguar in a Four Corner Survival Match. Lycan pinned Skye after all four men went after each other non-stop. Skye tried to slow things down from time to time with some heel tactics, but ended up taking the pinfall in the end.

3) Ikuro Kwon defeated Joseph Alexander. Gabriel Skye came out with Kwon, his group mate in The Expected, during his entrance. However, with Skye feeling the effects from the last match, Kwon sent him to the back. Skye did return, along with the other members of The Expected (Matt Mako and Austin Luke), to help Kwon win the match. Skye and Luke caused a distraction as Mako hit Alexander with a kendo stick. That allowed Kwon to seal the deal and pick up the win.

4) Matt Mako and Austin Luke defeated Malcolm Monroe III and Ken Broadway. After Mako and Luke helped Kwon in the previous match, they called out MM3 and talked about how his partner in The Pillars, Tommy Vendetta, couldn’t make it to the show. MM3 came out and introduced his partner for the night - Broadway. The two teams then brawled around the ring, used kendo sticks, and hit each other with chairs in a hard fought bout. Mako ended up getting MM3 to tap. Gabriel Skye and Ikuro Kwon headed to the back early in the match and didn’t play a factor in the finish, but they did come out to celebrate with their group members from The Expected after their win.

5) Aleah James defeated Kylie Alexa and Gabby Forza in a Three-Way Match. Kylie Alexa is Kylie Paige from NWA and she played the verbal, cocky heel. Alexa and Forza kept sending James to the floor throughout the match. In the end, James had more stamina than her opponents and was able to gain the pinfall victory over Forza.

6) The Killionaires Club defeated Joshua Bishop and Sam Holloway to retain the Atlantic Tag Team Championships. J Boujii got thrown around a whole lot by his opponents, but Holloway and Bishop showed some dissension and their miscommunication resulted in their defeat after Pretty Boy Smooth pinned Holloway. Holloway had been telling Bishop to “lock in” throughout the match. After their loss, Holloway and Bishop came face-to-face in the ring and had some words for each other. They then pushed each other until Holloway hit a big chokeslam on Bishop. Holloway told Bishop that he didn’t need him and that he was above him.

7) Mike Santana defeated Marcus Mathers to capture the Key to the East Championship and end Mathers’ 600+ day reign. Santana grabbed the microphone before the match and said that he wanted high energy from the crowd the entire match and invited them to stand around the ring and bang on the mat. The entire crowd stayed standing for the match, which was a hard hitting match filled with counters and near falls. In the end, Mathers succumbed to a hard lariat after both men kicked out of each other’s best moves and strikes.

After his victory, Santana grabbed the microphone, but Mathers took it from him. Mathers told Santana that he grew up watching Mike wrestle and that if anyone was going to beat him for the championship…he was happy that it was Santana. Santana joked that Mathers made him feel old, but then put Mathers over with compliments. Santana said that he contacted Ryan of ETU because he liked what he saw from the promotion. He wanted to be a part of it and help pay it forward by working with up-and-comers. Therefore, Santana promised to be at every ETU show going forward to defend his title against all the best young wrestlers.

ETU’s next show, Summer Madness 3, will be at The Mecca in Ridgefield Park on July 13th at 4 PM. It will also stream live on IWTV.
