5/18 NJPW BEST OF SUPER JUNIORS RESULTS FROM TOKYO, JAPAN

Best of the Super Juniors Matches:

1 - Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Nick Wayne

Taguchi hits a Bum-aye and applies the ankle lock.   Wayne gets a rope break.    Wayne with and Asai DDT.  Taguchi hits a superkick and goes for Dodon.   Wayne counters into a cradle pin.  Two count.   Wayne stuns him with a high kick and hits Wayne’s World.   

Wayne pins Taguchi.

Nick Wayne has 8 points and the current lead in B Block

Ryusuke Taguchi has 6 points.

2 - Ninja Mack vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru

Kanemaru tried his usual tricks and removed Mack’s mask.  But Mack had another mask underneath.   Kanemaru tried to spray the whiskey but Mack was ready for it.   Kanemaru tried a Victory Roll but Mack counters and pins Kanemaru’s shoulders for a three count.

Ninja Mack has 4 points.

Yoshinobu Kanemaru has 4 points.

3 - Kevin Knight vs. Titan

Good athletic match.  Knight hits a UFO splash and pins Titan.  

Kevin Knight has 4 points.

Titan has 6 points.  

4 - Kosei Fujita vs. Robbie X

Robbie hits an Xecution and followed with an X Express.    Robbie pins Fujita.

Robbie X has 6 points.

Kosei Fujita has 6 points.

5 - YOH vs. MAO

YOH pins MAO with a Dragon Suplex.

YOH has 4 points.

MAO has 4 points.

6 - KUSHIDA vs. Dragon Dia

KUSHIDA gets a submission with the Hoverboard Lock.

KUSHIDA has 6 points.

Dragon Dia has 6 points.

7 - Robbie Eagles vs. Taiji Ishimori

Ishimori attacked Eagles’ left arm.   Ishimori traps Eagles in the Bone Lock.   Eagles goes for the ropes.  Ishimori transitions into a Bloody Cross.  

Ishimori pins Eagles.

Taiji Ishimori has 4 points.

Robbie Eagles has 4 points.

8 - Master Wato vs. Francesco Akira

Good match with some sloppy moments.   Wato pins Akira with Recientemente.

Master Wato has 6 points.

Francesco Akira has 4 points.

9 - El Desperado vs. SHO

SHO teases the fans that Desperado may not make it to the ring.   Desperado comes to the ring choking out Yujiro Takahashi.   SHO and Yujiro pull out their tricks.   

The referee took a bump.   Yujiro and SHO double teamed Desperado.   Desperado took his mask off and threw it to SHO.  The referee and SHO argued about the mask.   Desperado punched SHO in the jaw and put the mask back on.   Desperado hits Pinche Loco.

Desperado pins SHO.

El Desperado has 6 points.

SHO has 4 points. 

10 - Hiromu Takahashi vs. Clark Conners

Hiromu is from Hachioji and got a monster pop.  Conners played the despicable heel as he crapped on Hiromu and his city.   They bumped all around ringside.   Conners has been bringing a tire with him to every match.   He rolled the tire into Hiromu’s crotch.  

Hiromu attacked Conners’ lower back.  Conners kept going for his power moves.   Hiromu avoided No Chaser and hit a Timebomb.   Hiromu then powerbombed Conners from the apron to the floor and onto the tire.   Hiromu tosses him in the ring and hits another Timebomb.   Hiromu picks him up and hits Timebomb II.

Hiromu pins Conners.

Hiromu Takahashi has 4 points.  

Clark Conners has 4 points.

Hiromu thanked his home town.  He teases leaving New Japan but says he lost thee matches and he has to become the best Junior in the company.
