It is Wednesday and AEW Collision was recorded after Dynamite at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, LA. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.
We start off with Swerve Strickland coming to the ring with Prince Nana to talk to the crowd. Before he can say anything, we get the music for the Young Bucks. Nick tells everyone to shut up and Matt apologizes for him. Matt says he pulled a few strings and Swerve’s match is starting right now.
The Bucks demand chairs to sit at watch on the stage.
Swerve Strickland vs Blake Christian w/Lee Johnson
They run the ropes and Lee trips Swerve, allowing Blake to start a beat down in the corner. Blake gets a springboard kick to the head of Swerve in the corner. When Blake showboats in the middle of the ring, Swerve stops him. They run the ropes and Blake drop-kicks Swerve and then dives onto him on the floor. Blake works over Swerve on the floor, but Swerve is able to reverse a whip into the barricade. Blake ruins Swerve into the ring post and then slams his head into the steel steps.
They fight on the apron, but Swerve is able to get a neck breaker in the ropes and Swerve gets a diving elbow to Blake’s back and he’s no longer on his back foot. Blake is able to get a stunner and goes to the top where he misses a leap and Swerve gets a jumping House Call. He follows with Big Pressure for the pin and the win.
Winner: Swerve Strickland
Lee attacks after the match, but Swerve cuts him off. The Bucks then attack Swerve and hit an EVP trigger. They go for a Meltzer Driver, but Kenny Omega runs to the ring for the save and takes them out. They bail from the ring when Kenny gets ready for a V Trigger. Kenny and Swerve share a fist bump.
In the back, Samoa Joe has that Jon Moxley has simple motivations and distracts his problems so they can’t find him. Joe says he is not a problem that will be distracted. Joe is an inevitability coming for him and coming for his title.
We go right into the next match.
Toni Storm (AEW Women’s Champion) w/Luther vs Queen Aminata - World Title Eliminator match
Aminata gets a headlock toss and Toni then does the same and they trade the move back and forth. Aminata takes a handshake and reverses a side headlock and runs her behind on Storm. They run the ropes and then grapple on the mat. Aminata works to her feet and gets a hip toss and a two count. Aminata gets 9 in the corner and then bites Storm.
They run the ropes and Storm gets a shoulder tackle. Aminata gets a snap suplex and misses a charge into the ropes. They fight on the apron and Aminata gets a head scissors and rams Storm’s head into her behind repeatedly as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, both women drop after simultaneous headbutts. They pull themselves up in the corner and Storm runs for a Thesz press and then beats down Aminata in the corner. Storm hits a DDT and then grabs an STF. Aminata gets to the ropes for the break. Aminata gets a quick rollup for two and then gets a drop toe hold on Storm in the corner. She follows Storm with a big boot.
Storm goes to the floor where Aminata misses an attack and hits her head on a chair. Storm gets a hip attack on the floor. They return to the ring and Storm gets a flying cross body front he top for two. Aminata gets a beach break for two. They fight to their feet while throwing hands. Storm hits a pop-up power bomb for two. Aminata gets a roll up for two and then gets a swinging neck breaker and goes to the top.
Aminata misses a stomp from the top and Storm hits a hip attack in the corner and follows with Storm Zero for the pin and the win.
Winner: Toni Storm
Lexi is with Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh and Karen Jarrett. Sonjay Dutt shows up late, and they bawl him out for not being around to get them matches and TV times. Lethal says this time HE has the ideas, and they leave Dutt behind.
It’s time for the Max Caster Best Wrestler Alive Challenge. Believe it or not he has gotten the chant “Let’s Go Max, You’re the best wrestler alive” chant over.
Max Caster vs Hologram
Hologram beats Max like a government mule and wins with the Portal Bomb for the on and the win.

Cru (Lio Rush and Action Andretti) vs Top Flight (Dante and Darius Martin) w/Leila Grey - Tornado Tag Team Match
All four men start throwing hands when the bell springs. Dante and Action fight on the floor and it quickly becomes Cru on the floor and Top Flight in the ring. Lio and Action grab Kendo sticks, but when they get in the ring, Tip Flight takes the sticks. Lio then grabs a chain, but it is knocked away quickly and Lio is pinned after a quick series from Top Flight. They then double-team Action and get another two count.
Again, Top Flight hold the ring as Cru stays on the floor. Cru go after Grey, and Top Flight join in the chase and the fight goes to the floor when Cru is able to take Top Flight out. Lio gets a big clothesline in the ring on Darius for two. Action starts tossing pounder into the ring, and they put a garbage can on Darius and beat it with the Kendo sticks as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Dante is beating Cru with the garbage can and then the lid. Dante pulls out a black bag from under the ring and he hands it to Darius who is rolled up by Lio. Cru then double-teams him and knock him to the floor; They then double-team Dante for two. Action gets “The bag of death”. He dumps it and it’s beads because it is New Orleans. Dante hits Lio with a side slam for two on the beads.
Darius brings in a chair and he is sat in it. Darius tries to suplex Lio onto it and instead he hits a drop toe hold onto Darius, followed by Action getting a drop-kick. The hit a double suplex onto Darius onto the chair for two. Lio grabs his chain and Grey stops him from using it. Darius throws the garbage can at Lio and Darius is knocked into Grey by Action. Lio and Action take him out, ending with Lio getting a frog splash and Action getting a 450 for the pin and the win.

Anna Jay vs the Already In The Ring Taylor Gainey
Anna has been with Stardom for the last few months and is now back to win quickly with a Gori Bomb.
Winner: Anna Jay
Penelope Ford skips to the ring and they go face to face. The music of Megan Bayne hits and attacks Jay and takes her down and then holds her for Bayne. Bayne then hits Jay with Fate’s Descent.
Bandido (Ring of Honor World Champion) vs Dralistico
They start by trying to get the crowd to cheer for them and Dralistico gets upset when he is booed. Dralistico kicks away the handshake so he does Not adhere to the Code Of Honor.
They run the ropes and go for high-flying moves. Dralistico goes to the floor and then up to the top for a hurricanrana, and follows up with a dive. They brawl on the floor and Bandido turns it around and takes over. They fight on the apron and Bandido beats down Dralistico, but Dralistico gets a tejaris to the floor and both men are on the floor, hurt and we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Bandido hits a pair of dives on Dralistico on the floor. He rolls Dralistico into the ring and goes to the top for a frog splash for two. They trade big kicks and Dralistico gets a spin kick for two. They go head-to-head as they get to their feet and Dralistico gets a spinning arm bar takedown for two. Dralistico gets a crucifix bomb, but Bandido gets a quick PK right after and both men are down.
Re and they fight on the top. Dralistico turns a Bandido power bomb into a hurricanrana, followed by a springboard lung blower for two. Dralistico complains to the ref and then hits a cartwheel slam. Bandido is able to hit the 21 Plex for the pin and the win.

Big Bill and Bryan Keith say that Jericho is not coming back and they need to crack skulls and stacking Ws to bring him back. Bill says the only question is who they will crack the skulls of. Bill then challenges Gates of Agony to a match.
AR Fox vs Rush
The fight immediately goes to the floor where Rush dominates and runs Fox into all four barricades. When they return to the ring, Rush continues to beat down Fox and Rush goes through his standard moves. Fox gets a surprise rollup followed by an insigiri and a dive onto Rush on the floor. Rush is rolled into the ring, goes to the top and hits a swanton with Rush in the middle of the ring for two. Rush gets a big elbow in the corner, followed by the Bull’s Horns for the pin and the win.
Winner: Rush
A shame Fox takes a squash after getting such a big reaction at the last PPV. They could do so much more with him.
In the back Roppongi Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta). They talk about how they have been disrespected. The Outrunners are nearby and they attack them and say from here on out, the audience will appreciate what they have done for them.
We get promos from Kyle Fletcher and Adam Page for their Owen Hart Tournament match.
FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) w/Stokely vs Paragon (Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly)
Stokely seems to have lost his last name, since he is just called Stokely during the ring introductions. Paragon seems to be a new name from Strong and O’Reilly.
Strong and Dax start the match and they lock up and break twice with Dax showing irritation about it. They run the ropes and Dax gets a shoulder tackle. They fight in the corner and Dax gets another shoulder tackle. Strong gets a drop-kick and Cash gets in the ring, which brings in Kyle. All four men brawl and FTR basil from the ring.
Kyle tags in and FTR has words from Tony before getting in the ring. Cash grabs Kyle and that allows Dax to attack from behind and they move to working over Kyle with quick tags. FTR isn’t able to hold this for long as we get all four men in the ring and Paragon suplexes Cash onto Dax, and then gets a double team for a pin on Cash. Cash is put into an ankle lock and Dax pulls him out of the ring. Roddy gets a double kick through the ropes into FTR as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Roddy tags in and has to fight off both members of FTR. They drag him to the floor and put his leg behind the steel steps before drop-kicking the steps to injure Roddy. FTR continues the beat down on the floor and sends Kyle into the steel steps. Kyle is rolled into the ring and Cash covers for two. Kyle is then worked over in FTR’s corner.
Kyle is able to break free and get to his corner, but Roddy isn’t on the apron yet. Cash is able to clothesline Kyle for two. Cash knocks Roddy off the apron and he and Kyle go back to throwing hands. Kyle gets a kitchen sink kick and crawls to his corner, and Roddy still isn’t there. Kyle is able to fight off both members of FTR until he and Dax clothesline each other down.
Roddy gets on the apron and Dax drops his knee on the steel steps. In the ring, Kyle gets a guillotine choke, but Dax breaks it up and gets a two count as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Kyle and Dax and throwing hands in the middle of the ring and Kyle gets a back suplex. Cash tags in and tosses Kyle to the floor. Cash missed a dive and hit the barricade. Roddy crawls to the apron and forces himself up the ring steps. Dax tags in and stops Kyle crawling to the corner. Kyle kicks Dax away and gets the tag.
Roddy kicks with his good leg and does what he can to clean house. He beats down Dax in the corner. Dax picks the legs and goes for a pin with feet on the ropes for two. Roddy gets a lung blower for two. Roddy tries a suplex, but his leg gives out. Cash charges into the ring and Roddy hits a backbreaker on his bad leg. Dax whips Roddy's leg into the ring post and then locks a figure four around the post, breaking on the four. Dax pulls Roddy into the middle of the ring for a figure four. Kyle breaks it up and he and Cash fight to the floor and Roddy gets a two count.
Kyle is tagged in and he and Dax fight in the middle of the ring with Roddy getting an ankle lock. Cash breaks it up and goes to the apron for the tag. FTR hits the spike stuff pile driver on Kyle for the pin and the win.
Winners: FTR
Adam Cole slides in to check on his teammates and FTR surround him. Daniel Garcia’s music hits and he runs to the ring with a pry bar to run off FTR. Garcia then says he will be after FTR and they will not get a moment’s peace if he has anything to say about it.
