4/25 TNA XPLOSION TV REPORT

The episode starts off with a match from the vault: Tessa Blanchard vs. Gail Kim from Rebellion 2019.

Around the Ring with Gia Miller Tom Hannifan is this week’s guest on Around the Ring. Hannifan jokes that he’s avoided an appearance on Around the Ring for a while. He then jokes that he’ll be promoting himself on Around the Ring while voicing over Xplosion. Hannifan then puts over Gia Miller with some great compliments.

Miller and Hannifan take fun jabs at each other over Penn State (Hannifan) and Alabama (Miller). Miller is very appreciative of Hannifan’s earlier compliments. Hannifan says that Miller does everything in TNA very well. Hannifan jokes about Miller’s accent. Hannifan talks about how both Miller and Brian Myers find it weird that he has shorts and not just suits.

In Case You Missed It Joe Hendry and Elijah vs. Ethan Page and Kazarian from last night’s iMPACT! is shown. Below is my write-up of the match:

Frankie Kazarian and Ethan Page vs. Elijah and Joe Hendry

Frankie Kazarian and Elijah start things off with a lock-up. Kazarian sends Elijah to the ropes but eats a tackle. Kazarian goes for an arm drag, but Elijah reverses it and then slaps on a chinlock. Kazarian fights out of it but succumbs to an armbar. Elijah hits a couple of shoulder attacks and then lifts up Kazarian by the arm. Kazarian counters with a roll-up for a two count. Elijah shakes it off and stomps down on Kazarian. Elijah hits a couple of big chops in the corner. Elijah sends Kazarian into the corner and hits a running attack. Elijah holds onto Kazarian’s arm and climbs to the top rope. He hits Walk with Elijah and then clotheslines Kazarian to the floor. Ethan Page drops to the floor and wants to know what Kazarian is doing as the show goes to a commercial break.

Back from the break, Joe Hendry has control of Kazarian and tags in Elijah. Elijah whips Kazarian to the corner and rains down punches. Kazarian comes off the ropes and flips over Elijah but eats a slam. Kazarian tags in Page. Page wants Hendry, so Elijah obliges.

Hendry and Page lock up and break. Hendry shakes out his injured arm. Hendry hits the ropes and gets a tackle. Hendry hits a hip toss, and it hurts his arm. He shakes it off, though, and hits a suplex that is not delayed like usual. He gets a two count. Hendry tags in Elijah, who comes in and chops Page. Elijah hits an inverted atomic drop and a boot to the face. Page sends Elijah to the ropes, and Kazarian hits him with a knee. Elijah drops Kazarian from the apron, but that allows Page to go on the attack.

Page punches and chops Elijah in the corner and tags in Kazarian. Kazarian punches Elijah in the midsection and then hits a neckbreaker for a two count. Kazarian stomps down on Elijah and then tags in Page. Page punches Elijah and then hits him with elbows in the corner. Elijah is whipped across the ring but is able to get a boot up on Page. Elijah tries to make a tag, but Page cuts him off and tags in Kazarian. Kazarian hits a slingshot leg drop for a two count.

Elijah starts to fight back, but Page grabs his hair to pull him back into the corner. Hendry tries to help, but the referee stops him. Elijah tries to counter Kazarian and hits him with a leaping knee. Both men are slow to get up. Elijah almost gets to Hendry, but Page tugs Hendry off the apron and then sends him into the steel steps.

Kazarian stomps down on Elijah and tags in Page. Page rains down punches and sends Elijah into the corner. Elijah fights off Page and is able to tag in Hendry. Kazarian tags in. Hendry comes in hot and clotheslines Kazarian twice. Hendry hits a fallaway slam on Kazarian. He catches Page and struggles but hits a fallaway slam. Hendry kips up and hits Kazarian with the AA for a two count.

Kazarian goes for Fade to Black, but Hendry wiggles out and tries a roll-up. Kazarian shakes it off and hits a springboard leg drop for a two count. Kazarian goes for the chicken wing, but Page makes a blind tag. Page ducks a Hendry clothesline, but Hendry hits Kazarian. Page slams Hendry for a two count. Kazarian tags in. Page lifts Hendry to the second rope. Both Page and Kazarian climb up with him and hit a double superplex. Elijah pushes Page into Kazarian to break up the pin.

Elijah and Page exchange strikes until Elijah hits a twisting reverse DDT. Kazarian hits Elijah with a backstabber. Hendry hits a running cutter on Kazarian. Hendry goes for the Standing Ovation but can’t get Kazarian up. Elijah tags in. Kazarian tries to tag in Page, but Page refuses. Elijah hits Kazarian with the Highwayman’s Farewell for the win!

Winners: Elijah and Joe Hendry

Tom Hannifan and Gia Miller are on commentary for the main event.

Savannah Evans vs. Jody Threat with Dani Luna

They lock up and break when neither woman can gain control. They lock up again, and Jody Threat tries to back Savannah Evans up. Evans pushes back, and they break. Threat pumps herself up a bit, and they lock up again. Threat is able to grab a side headlock. Evans tries to push and throw her off, but Threat holds on. Threat is sent into the ropes, but she holds on. She rushes at Evans, but Evans lifts her up. Threat wiggles out and hits a running headscissors. Threat hits a series of short clotheslines in the corner.

Threat tries to hit an overhead throw, but Evans clubs down on Threat. Threat shakes it off and hits a dropkick. Evans rolls to the outside, and Threat goes for a dive. Evans catches Threat as she comes through the ropes and drags her to the floor. Evans hits a choke bomb onto the apron. Evans rolls Threat back into the ring and gets a two count. Threat tries to fight back, but Evans clubs down on her and then stretches Threat’s arms down on the mat.

Threat fights out of the hold but eats a shoulder tackle from Evans. Evans slams Threat and goes for a leg drop. Threat moves out of the way and starts to fight back. She hits a back elbow and avoids a charging attack from Evans. Threat ducks under some strikes from Evans and hits a flurry of strikes of her own. Threat trips Evans up into the ropes and hits running double knees.

Threat hits a German Suplex on Evans and then charges at Evans against the ropes. Evans lifts Threat over the top rope and to the apron. Threat kicks Evans and then climbs to the top rope. Threat hits a flying seated senton and then climbs to the top rope again. Threat hits a flying crossbody for a two count. Threat tries to lift up Evans, but her back gives out. Evans grabs Threat, but Threat kicks her off. Threat charges at Evans, but Evans catches her and hits a Samoan Drop for a two count. Evans charges Threat in the corner, but Threat blocks her. Threat hits a rope-assisted double knees to the face. Threat hits Pop Shove It for the win!

Winner: Jody Threat
