WWE ID CHAMPIONSHIP NEWS AND NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2025-04-17 08:40:00

The WWE ID Championship Tournament event received mostly positive reviews from those we spoke with.

Swipe Right got a big spotlight as they got involved in multiple segments, interfering and attacking people to build them as a strong heel act.

Beyond Gabe Sapolsky, Arik Cannon and Ace Steel helped out backstage advising talents and were in a Producer-esque role, although whether that was their official title, I am not aware.

The show was presented pure GCW style in terms of setup, right down to GCW announcers.

The main event six man tag was put together like the type of six man tag that Ring of Honor would have produced back in the day over Wrestlemania weekend.  That was certainly by design.

We were told The Kylie Rae vs. Zayda Steel bout was very good and there was praise for Izzy Moreno, especially given how young she is in terms of experience in the business.

The WWE ID Tournament will continue Friday with a streaming event presented by Future Stars of Wrestling streaming at 11:30 PM Eastern (8:30 local time in Nevada) on TrillerTV+ from the FSW Arena featuring:
