AEW DYNAMITE BREAKS THE NITRO RECORD IN BOSTON REPORT

By Cory Strode on 2025-04-16 22:18:00

It is Wednesday and AEW Dynamite is held at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, MA. Our commentary team is Excalibur and Tony Schiavone.

Tonight, AEW Dynamite has run longer than WCW Nitro, which is incredible to think about, since Nitro felt like it ran forever.  OK, maybe just watching the last 3 years worth of shows felt like each one lasted forever. A great achievement for any company.

We are told that the Death Riders attacked Hook earlier today so he will not be appearing tonight.

Two excellent matches to start the show and the first hour of the show.

This brings out Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis who applaud Page. Don goes to the floor and Kyle and Page throw hands. After Kyle is knocked to the floor, Don is seen talking to Josh, who then attacks Page from behind. This allows Kyle to hit Page with a vertical stalling brain buster as we are told that last week Callis said he was recruiting.

Nick Wayne, Kip Sabian, and Mother Wayne are in the back and as Nick starts talking, Christian Cage. Cage asks him to explain what he meant that he knows why Cage cashed in. Wayne says it was because he didn’t watch Cope win the title. Cage says he’s wrong, but he has been watching and is impressed by Nick’s progress.  He has gotten him in the Super Junior Tournament in Japan, and he will keep him busy. Tomorrow, he will be facing Komander alone. He gives Nick a slam and leaves.

We are given a recap of FTR explaining why they turned on Cope and nearly attacked Tony Schiavone before beating down Daniel Garcia on Collision.

MJF’s music hits and he is on the way to the ring. He comes to the ring with a mic and the crowd cheers him. MJF says that MVP knows what he brings to the table, and some people just don’t know. MJF says he brings extra talent to the table and brings out 7 ladies in little black dresses. He says they can have a night out with these lovely ladies for three thumbs up.

MVP gives a thumbs up, and Shelton is super distracted by the women and then says he needs more time as he looks at the ladies. He then clarifies and says he requires the watch off of MJF’s watch, and MJF agrees. Bobby is still not in favor of this after MJF says watches and women are just the start of what he can do for them, so he’s the last person MJF has to win over.

In the back Bobby continues to say he doesn’t trust MJF, but MVP says that business-wise they could use MJF to get what they want, and asks him to ease up, and the moment MJF gets out of line….
