Do you think Goldberg wrestles at Summerslam?
Bill has stated his retirement match would be this summer, so to me, guessing that show is a fair assessment.
So, I guess AEW is OK with male on female violence, since Mox dropped Willow with a DDT last night on Dynamite. Is this a case of being completely tone deaf, or are they so desperate for heat on the Death Riders that this what they'll do to get it? So fans would chant a**hole at Mox for a few seconds?
It was a wrestling move over the course of a mixed tag match designed to get heat on the heels. I don't think there's any way it would have happened unless TBS OK'd it. We've heard lots of times that all that sort of stuff, including the violent brutality, is cleared. It's not a PG show.
Where has Hikaru Shida been?
Just off television. I haven't heard of any injury. She has been regularly streaming on her YouTube channel and is still contractually with AEW.
With wrestling every night and Wrestlemania week coming, I have to ask - do you ever get burnt out on this stuff?
It's a fair question. If I did, I wouldn't discuss publicly. I am blessed to have the ablity to write about something I care about. After 21+ years of this full-time, I am well aware of when I need to reboot my brain and have some balance in my life. Believe it or not, there are other things I care about other than wrestling.
Why did WWE stop doing pre-show matches for PPV's? Instead of doing a pre-show filled with talking, why not do matches on them to get people on the card especially for Big 4 PPV's like Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Survivor Series?
It was a decision to Lee Fitting and WWE to make the pre-game similar in tone of ESPN College Game Day with more discussion and speculation. They can always go back to the old way, but there's no requirement to HAVE to have matches.
