IT’S NOT JUST ME THAT’S UNDERWHELMED BY THE BUILD TO WRESTLEMANIA, PRAISE FOR BROOKE HOGAN, THE BLOODLINE AND MORE

Man, such a difference from last year. HHH is still in charge, I’m assuming, so what is going on? It seems that the product has been pretty flat since the Netflix debut. Is creative spread too thin? Is TKO getting involved? Did they not properly plan for post Bloodline storylines (I’d say that’s impacted Cody’s run quite a bit)? They don’t have any big injuries, so it’s strange to me what’s been going on. WM doesn’t feel like WM to me.  As always, love all that y’all do :)

I have been saying the same thing for the last month plus.  Coming out of The Royal Rumble, everything was moving along really well in the build to WrestleMania.  Then The Rock came back and things went sideways.  It’s not fair to blame him for everything either.  I have not liked John Cena’s heel turn but that has nothing to do with the booking on the rest of the show.  I still have no idea why they did what they did to Jey Uso.  Multi-person matches are a crutch that is used when a booker didn’t do a good job creating compelling storylines, and we have a lot of them this year.  All of that falls on Paul Levesque.  Why he has lost his fastball at the most important time of the year?  I have some ideas but nothing concrete.  Maybe he is burning out due to all of content he has to create. Maybe he is feeling pressure because WrestleMania tickets have not sold as expected.  Whatever the case, I hope he can get the show back on the road after Mania because it went from being super great to what it is now.  It’s not terrible, but when something has been so good and then takes a step backward, it’s noticeable.

Is the Bloodline story over?

My best guess is that for now, yes.  Roman beat Solo to end that part of the family feud. He is the Chief again.  Now we are seeing with the internal struggle between Solo and Jacob Fatu.  Will they circle back to it down the road?  It wouldn’t surprise me if they did.

WM 39 Reigns Vs Rhodes.
WM 40 Reigns Vs Rhodes II
WM 41 Reigns Vs Rhodes III?
Nope. Instead of the rubber match, we get Rhodes assuredly losing to Cena and then going back to upper mid card for the next year. And we get Reigns (Who beats Solo, who apparently has been forgotten about) the tribal chief Vs. Seth Vs. Punk? This show is underwhelming at best. I thought that HHH was the savior in regard to booking? It's starting to come off as VKM 2.0, no?  Or maybe it's just me.

It’s not just you because a lot of the staff here feels the same way that you do.  What’s also interesting is that I am starting to hear from people who loved John Cena’s heel turn when it happened not enjoying it now.  This definitely has a Vince McMahon feel to it this year.

After reading Brooke Hogan’s response to her mother Linda ranting about not hearing from her for 8 years, and then reading Linda’s next rant about Brooke Hogan speaking up about cutting off contact with her parents, and learning about what a piece of garbage Hulk Hogan really is over the years from numerous sources, I’ll have to take Brooke’s side on her dysfunctional family recollections. It does seem like Hulk and Linda are toxic people. What are your thoughts?

I have nothing but sympathy for Brooke and what she went through.  I have nothing but respect for how she has chosen to deal with her toxic parents, and given what I know about the three of them her account seems to be the truth to me. As a product of two toxic parents, I learned a long time ago that there comes a point where being the good son had to come to an end.  Just because someone brought you into the world doesn’t mean that you owe them a lifetime of being a recipient of their toxic behavior.  I have a ton of respect for Brooke doing what is best for her mental health and her family.  She gave all that she could and all they did was take from her.  I am glad she has moved on from them.

I just saw a video of Mox blading after taking a back bump and it's getting ridiculous. Since he blades so often and blatantly, why doesn't he either do it on the way to the ring or before his entrance music hits? He might as well go all in on the ridiculousness.

That would be hilarious and awesome……and apt.  Mox has become a walking caricature of something really odd.
