WWE President Nick Khan spoke with The Hindustan Times about the possibility of the company staging major tours similar to what was just completed in Europe.
Khan commented, "That's the goal, and we're pencilling out 2026 and 2027 now. In one of our first meetings with Netflix after the deal was signed. Without asking, Netflix handed us a list of their priority countries. At the top of that list was India. And knowing that the race would come into play on April 1 in India, if it's important to Netflix, assume it's important to us. India has always been important to us. So we're pencilling it out now, and let's wait and see."
WWE last ran India in September 2023 with a "Superstar Spectacle"-titled live event headlined by John Cena & Seth Rollins defeating Imperium in the main event. In January 2021, WWE produced a television special specifically for the Indian market, airing on India's Republic Day. Taped out of the WWE Thunderdome during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was topped by Drew McIntyre and Indus Sher (Rinku and Saurav) vs. Jinder Mahal and The Bollywood Boyz.
WWE live programming will begin to stream on Netflix in India this Tuesday 4/1:
