Outlaw Wrestling announced today that the retirement match for Homicide will feature the former ROH World Champion teaming with Bull James against Afa Jr. and Mike Santana at at Arlo Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NYC.
We are told the match, presented by Victory Pro, was personally picked by Homicide himself.
Homicide, 47, was a member of the original Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame Class and for great reason. The former ROH World Champion was not only one of the top stars of the Northeast before joining TNA as member of LAX, but was also one the most influential talents over the last several decades when it came to training and assisting talents.
As his prominence grew, so did the importance of independent wrestling in the post WCW and ECW world. In many ways, he was one of the most important personalities for the original Ring of Honor run of events and his title win over Bryan Danielson and his brutal feud with Steve Corino stand out as some of the most emotional moments in the company's history.
Brooklyn being the site of Homicide's final match makes perfect sense as he's always been billed as "Bed-Stuy, Do or Die."
