From Aichi, Japan:
1 - Tomohiro Ishii and YOSHI-HASHI vs. Ryohei Oiwa and Hartley Jackson
Ishii pins Jackson after a brainbuster.
2 - El Phantasmo, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Toru Yano and Boltin Oleg vs. Callum Newman, Jakob Austin Young, TJP and Great O-Khan
TJP pins ELP with hurricanrana into a cradle.
TJP is in line for a title match for the NJPW Television Championship.
3 - Gabe Kidd, SANADA and Chase Owens vs. Ren Narita, SHO and Yoshinobu Kanemaru
Narita goes to meet Kidd in the entry way and they brawl all around ringside. They all battle to a double count out.
SANADA left the ringside area and went back to the locker room, leaving Owens and Kidd to fight 3 on 2.
4 - Yota Tsuji, Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI vs. Yujiro Takahashi, Dick Togo and EVIL
Tsuji pins Togo after a Gene Blaster.
EVIL tried to attack Tsuji but Tsuji hits a superkick. EVIL throws a tantrum and attacks young lions at ringside.
House of Torture has a lot going on. They hold the NEVER Openweight 6 man Championship. They are in a feud with War Dogs. EVIL is going after Los Ingobernales and Tsuji’s IWGP Global Championship. They are the top faction in New Japan right now.
New Japan Cup 2025 Quarterfinal matches:
5 - Drilla Moloney vs. Shingo Takagi
Very stiff match with lots of strikes. Takagi avoids the Drilla Killa. He hits Last of the Dragon and a Pumping Bomber. Two count. He picks up Moloney for a Made in Japan, but he hits a Death Valley Driver, now called a Burning Dragon.
Takagi pins Moloney.
Shingo Takagi advances to the Final Four.
6 - Shota Umino vs. Jeff Cobb
Cobb dominates Umino in the early moments, using his power and throws him around the ring. Umino continues to fight back. Cobb hits a Spin Cycle, an F5, a clubbing lariat, but could not get the pin. Umino hits a reverse brainbuster called Second Chapter.
Umino pins Cobb.
Shota Umino moves into the Final Four against Shingo Takagi.
7 - Yuya Uemura vs. David Finlay
Even match up until Finlay threw Uemura hard into the guardrails. Finlay hit a Dominator for a two count. Uemura avoided Overkill and was hit a bunch of suplexes for two counts. Uemura hit a Flying Body Press. Two count. Finlay blocks a Deadbolt. They exchange reversals. Finlay hits Overkill.
Finlay pins Uemura.
David Finlay moves into the Final Four.
After the match, SANADA walks to the ring, right past Finlay and Gedo.
SANADA picks up Uemura and hits a Dead Fall.
Finlay and Gedo laugh and walk away. SANADA leaves into the crowd and goes through a back door.
8 - Taichi vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
Taichi was emotional at the start of the match. Massive crowd reaction to both men.

Zack pins Taichi with a Clarky Cat.
Zack Sabre Jr. will face David Finlay in the Final Four.
Zack and Taichi spoke in the ring after the match and they hugged each other. Lots of emotion from these two men. From their time in Suzuki-Gun and as Tag Champions, the bond between Dangerous Tekkers is strong as ever.
Awesome moment between both men.
9 - IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Hirooki Goto vs. Yuji Nagata
According to English commentary, Yuji Nagata, at 56 years of age, is the oldest challenger for the IWGP Title in history.
Good match. The crowd was chanting for both men.
Goto hits a GTR and pins Nagata.
Hirooki Goto retains the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
Both men shake hands after the match.
Goto gets the mic and thanks the crowd and praised Nagata. He says he will beat whoever wins the New Japan Cup. He says the Goto Revolution will continue.
On Sunday, March 16, from Shizuoka, Japan, the first semifinal match is: Zack Sabre Jr vs. David Finlay
On Monday, March 17, from Fukushima, Japan, the second semifinal match is: Shota Umino vs. Shingo Takagi
On Thursday, March 20, from Niigata, Japan, it will be the Finals of the New Japan Cup.
