It’s Wednesday! I know what that means! AEW Dynamite is LIVE and on the air from Fresno. FRESNO?!?!?!! Nobody goes to Fresno anymore. Tony Schiavone, Excalibur and Taz have the call of all the action. We are fresh Revolution! Let’s see how they follow up.
Kenny Omega comes out with the International title belt, fresh off his win over Konosuke Takeshita Sunday night. He’s got the mic. He is humbled by the support of the fand, his doctors and his new pal Will Ospreay. He also thanks Takeshita for pushing him as hard as he could. He’s excited for the title eliminator tournament.
The Opps come out and stare down Omega.
Samoa Joe, Hook & Katsayori Shibata vs. Vinny Pacifico, Eli Something and a third guy whose name I regrettably did not catch.
Samoa Joe starts off with chops and a back elbow. Hook tags in. He pounds his opponent in the corner. One of the other guys tags in, as does Shibata. Chops by Shibata. Running corner dropkick by Shibata for 2. PK by Shibata for the pin.
WINNERS THE OPPS
WE hear from Ricochet, ahead of his match with Shibata on Saturday. He offers Shibata the chance to forfeit.
WE see highlights from Revolution.
I have to say, so far I like the fast pace of Dynamite tonight.
Backstage, Swerve and Cope meet up. Next week, Cope and Moxley have a rematch. Winner faces Swerve in April.
We hear from Jon Moxley talking about next week’s match with Cope and how he will have no mercy this time. Actually a pretty solid segment putting himself and Cope over.
Hologram & Powerhouse Hobbs w/HarleyGram vs. Brian Cage & Dralistico
This is about as random as the spin of the wheel on Price is Right. Hobbs and Cage fight it out at ringside as Hologram and Dralistico fight in the ring. Elbows by Dralistico followed by a big chop. They trade armdrags. Big chop by Dralistico. Press slam by Cage but Hologram ranas him to the floor. He tries a tope but Cage catches him and suplexes him. We go to commercial.
WE are back and it’s Beast Mortos interfering attacking Hologram. HarleyGram shakes her hips for distraction. I, for one, am distracted. Back in the ring, Hologram with a fallaway slam and Hobbs tags in. Hobbs throws Dralistico to his corner and Cage tags in. They chop and kick. Powerslam by Hobbs. Dralisitco makes the save. German by Cage. All 4 men battle it out. I have no idea who’se legal at this point. Cage superplexes Hobbs. Hobbs powerslams Dralistico. Cage with a running clothesline. Spinebuster by Hobbs to Cage. Cage rolls out. Dralistico chops Hobbs. Kicks by Dralistico but Hobbs scores the pin with a powerslam.
WINNERS HOLOGRAM & POWERHOUSE HOBBS
Lance Archer and Mark Davis come out to console Cage.
Alicia Atout spoke to The Hurt Syndicate at Revolution. They want to know who is next. They’re taking a week’s vacation. WE then see highlights from Toni Storm vs. Mariah May.
Toni Storm comes out to a round of applause. She extolls her win on Sunday. It’s her honor to be champion.
Opinion: Toni Storm is the greatest character ever in AEW.
She does a great job here in moving on to her next challenger , who ever that may be.
Megan Bayne attacks Storm and preens to the crowd.
International Title Eliminator Tournament: The Beast Mortos vs. Speedball Mike Bailey
Quick kicks by Bailey. Roundhouse kick by Bailey. Rapid fire kicks by Bailey. Side kick by Bailey but a shoulder tackle by Mortos. Big slap by Mortos. Back elbows and chops by Bailey. Mortos misses a charge. Tope con hillo by Bailey as we go to commercial.
We are back and it’s Bailey with heel kicks. Running shooting star press by Bailey. Mortos bails. Springboard moonsault to the floor by Bailey. Liger bomb by Bailey. Kneedrop by Bailey. Crescent kick by Bailey and he scores the pin.
WINNER SPEEDBALL MIKE BAILEY
Rene Paquette is with the Patriarchy, including Nick Wayne’s ridiculously hot mother. Christian wants his contract back because he said he only signed to face Cope. nick Wayne interrupts and said he’s making excuses and is a liar. He didn’t stick to the plan. Cage mocks Nick’s father. Looke like we have some dissension.
We see MJF in his locker room irate after losing Sunday night.
MJF comes out and wants his music cut. He runs down the “illegal” win Hangman Page got over him Sunday. MVP comes out. Hmmm…remember, the Hurt Syndicate went on vacation. They go face to face and hug. Apparently the 2 have a history together, back when MJF was thirsty for knowledge. MVP sings MJF’s praises but…he’s not proud of the loss MJF had Sunday. He wants MJF to hurt people. He says MJF has lost his edge and the locker room doesn’t fear him. He offers MJF a spot in the Hurt Syndicate. MJF reminds MVP he’s not the same kid as he was before. He seemd to reject the offer. But he does, however, take the card with a quizzical look
Max Caster is in the ring. This’ll be quick. He tries to lead his chant to boos. It’s open challenge time.
Max Caster vs. Konosuke Takeshita
Max has the mic and tries to talk his way out of it. Forearm smash and Takeshita pulls Caster up at 2. Raging Fire for the pin.
WINNER KOKOSUKE TAKESHITA
WE see highlights of Chris Jericho attacking Gravity at Zero. And then we hear from Jericho holding Gravity’s mask.
Willow Nightingale vs. Penelope Ford
Willow with a takedown and a double bicep pose. Bodyslam by Willow for 2. I’ll say it right now: I want Willow back in a title program. She deserves it! Chop by Ford. Suplex by Willow for 2. Ford counters a snake eyes and hits a running dropkick. Double kneedrop by Ford as we go to commercial.
We’re back and Willow regains control. Ford bites to escape. Armbar in the rope by Ford. Splash for 2 by Willow. Punches by Willow into a powerslam for 2. Small package by Ford for 2. Pounce by Willow for the pin.

Ford with a chair to the gut and back. Kris Statlander makes the save. Willow isn’t thrilled. Megan Bayne attacks both with a double clothesline. F5 by Bayne to Statlander.
Rene is with Mercedes Mone and Billie Starkz backstage. Starkz issues a challenge. Mone accepts.
Tony Schiavone is in the ring and brings out Will Ospreay. He’s banged up from Sunday. Will’s wife isn’t happy with him after the risks he took Sunday. He seems really loose in this promo. I CAN GET BEHIND THIS WILL OSPREAY! He wants championship gold, specifically the AEW World Title. He’s calling his shot for All In Texas. He’s entering the Owen Hart Tournament to earn the shot.
Rene is with Jay White and he doesn’t like Ospreay calling his shot at All In. I like White so much more as an a-hole pr!ck.
Hangman Page and MJF are talking backstage. Doesn’t seem adversarial by Page. MJF fires back with his vitriol. MJF wants nothing to do with Page and vows to be a 2 time AEW World Champion.
International Title Tournament Eliminator: Orange Cassidy vs. Hechicero
Jim Ross has joined the booth. Great to hear him. Odd main event choice if you ask me. I can’t help but think an angle is coming out of this. Hechicero mocks Cassidy and pounds away. He cant’ execute a hip toss but does get a top wrist lock. Reversal by Cassidy, he walks the ropes.Once he jumps down, he put his hands in his pockets and nails a rana. Hechicero misses a dropkick and Cassidy poses as we go to commercial.
