WHAT I LOVE ABOUT AEW, WWE IS BEING SENT A MESSAGE THAT THEY WOULD BE WISE TO RECEIVE, DOES THE ROCK MEAN MONEY AND MORE

Have you noticed that WWE is not doing easy sellouts anymore?

I have indeed.  They announce sellouts all the time but clearly when WrestleMania still has tickets and they are set up for less than 35,000 for The Elimination Chamber, ticket sales have slowed.  If you are in an 18,000 seat building and sell 12,000 because that’s “all you set up for” that isn’t a sellout to me.  Why is this happening? I don’t blame the product, which leads to….

If you have, why do you think that is?

The tickets are WAY too expensive. At a time when non-wealthy people (and even wealthy people are now taking a hit) are having a rough time, WWE has priced tickets so high that they are getting impossible for the average fan to justify paying for on a regular basis.  Consider this, we all have a budget that we can spend on fun things, whether we actually plan for it or not. Let’s say you are in NY and your budget used to allow you to see four shows in the market.  Now?  You may not even be able to see one show for that money.  That’s why tickets remain for Raw at MSG.  The product is great but if you have to pay big money for everything else in your life, going to a WWE show is hard to justify, if you even can. I have been saying for months now that WWE had better realize that this day could come.  I hope they start listening.

Do you think WWE booked Rock for The Elimination Chamber to sell tickets to the show?

Absolutely.

If so, did it work?

Well, they did sell some tickets but as of Wednesday, when Mike Johnson and I recorded our show, they had sold about half of what they had left.  Did it work?  I will let you decide.

Is there anything you like about AEW?

There is one thing I absolutely love about AEW and that’s that they exist.  They give good people employment. They give fans that love their product a product that they love. Sadly, in 2025 there are a lot of people who hate anyone that likes something that they don’t. That isn’t me. I like that people love AEW, even if I don’t.
