The Rock will indeed be announcing Wrestlemania 42 will be at The Superdome in New Orleans next year, PWInsider.com can confirm. There may be more to his appearance but the NOLA announcement is 100% happening.
We are told that the company is planning some sort of press conference that will take place after Smackdown. One would assume Rock will be involved and that this will stream online. More on that as we confirm.
We are also told the involvement of The Rock for tonight was literally something that happened last night and internally, the company shifted plans to pivot towards his appearance. This was not something planned far in advance, at all.
