WWE LFG NEWS AND NOTES

WWE LFG kicked off yesterday on A&E.  The premise is that Mickie James, Bully Ray, The Undertaker and Booker T are mentoring WWE Performance Center recruits but also competing with each other.  If their recruit is ruled as having an outstanding showing, the legend will get one point.  The winner legend will earn the first-ever WWE LFG Championship belt.

The recruits, meanwhile, are competing to earn an official NXT Contract.

Joe Tessitore will be doing narration on the series.

The following WWE Performance Center talents were featured thus far:

Brayden BJ Ray: California native, Division 1 wrestler at Duke University. Tension between he and Bubba Ray Dudley was a featured part of Episode 1.

Shiloh Hill: From New Hampshire, his relationship with his late father, who was a huge fan and passed away while Shiloh was in college was featured.

Zena Sterling: Been at PC for a year at the time of shooting.  Plays a ditzy blonde in character.

Drake Morreau: 2 years training at the time the show commenced.

Anthony Luke: 9 months training at the time the show commenced.  27 years old, from Sacramento, CA.  From Sacramento, background in football, MMA, boxing, and amateur wrestling.  Maxine Dupri's boyfriend.

Dani Sekelky (aka Dani Rae): 3 months training at the time the show commenced.  22 years old.  Cheerleader from Stamford, CT.  She came off great on episode one.

Tyra Mae Steel:1 year training at the PC at the time the show begins.  Olympic gold medalist in wrestling.  She came off great on episode one.

Jasper Troy: 18 months training at the time the show begins.

Leigh Laurel: 5 months at PC at the time the show starts.  Powerlifter.

Chris Island: 3 months at PC at time show begins.

Elijah Holyfield: Started this week when show begins.  The son of boxing legend Evander Holyfield.

Bayley Humphrey: Was training at PC for a week when show begins.  Has a legitimate background working on and recovering dead bodies.

Troy Yearwood: Great athlete in the WWE PC Combine.

Tatyanna Dumas: Been at PC for 2 months at time the show begins.

Penina Tuielaepa: Been at PC for 6 months when the show commenced. A former professional rugby player.

Sirena Linton: First week at PC when the show begins.

The Undertaker will be mentoring Tyra Mae Steel, who earned the right to pick her mentor last night.

Booker T will be mentoring Anthony Luke.  Luke also earned the right.

The other mentors will be determined randomly next week.

There will be matches every week on the show, which runs 90 minutes an episode with commercials.

Jeremy Borash and Vic Joseph are the commentators for the matches. 

Joe Tessitore does voice over narration.

There will be main roster stars visiting the LFG competitors, including CM Punk and GUNTHER.

WWE Hall of Famers, including Ric Flair, Road Dogg and Michelle McCool, will also be making appearances.
