New Japan Pro Wrestling announced the following for the 2025 NJ Cup:

BRACKET A:

*Yota Tsuji vs. EVIL (Winner faces David Finlay in Round Two)

*Yuya Uemura vs. SANADA (Winner faces YOSHI-HASHI in Round Two)

*Ryohei Oiwa vs. Chase Owens (Winner faces Zack Sabre Jr. in Round Two)

*Gabe Kidd vs. Ren Narita (Winner faces Taichi in Round Two)

BRACKET B:

*El Phantasmo vs. Great-O-Khan (Winner faces Shota Umino in Round Two)

*Tetsuya Naito vs. Callum Newman (Winner faces Jeff Cobb in Round Two)

*Tomohiro Ishii vs. Drilla Moloney (Winner faces TJP in Round Two)

*Oleg Boltin vs. Bad Luck Fale (Winner faces Shingo Takagi in Round Two)

The tournament starts on 3/7 and culminates on 3/20.

The winner will earn a match for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Hirooki Goto at Sakura Genesis on 4/5.
