The NWA announced the following:
New NWA Women's Tag Team Champs Crowned on 'Powerrr'
Kenzie Paige and Big Mama have rewritten National Wrestling Alliance history!
At Looks That Kill, both women became double champions. An unusual pairing for certain, NWA Women’s World champion Paige and Women’s TV Champion Big Mama defeated The IT Girls for the NWA Women’s World Tag Titles on NWA Powerrr.
“It’s the first time in modern National Wrestling Alliance history two women have held all the gold,” notes Joe Galli, NWA Chief Operating Officer.
The IT Girls — Ella Envy and Ms. Starr — have reigned as NWA Women’s World Tag Team Champions since NWA 76. They were initially scheduled to defend against Kylie Paige and a mystery partner at the National Wrestling Alliance Signature Live Event in Dothan, AL.
Unfortunately, injury prevented Kylie Paige from competing. Big sister and NWA Women’s World Champion Kenzie Paige stepped in, making the match champions vs. champions with the NWA Women’s World Tag Team Titles up-for-grabs.
It was obviously not Envy and Starr’s best night. They left the Dothan Civic Center without gold.
“The deck was stacked entirely against The IT Girls,” laments Danny Dealz, who called the match on this week’s episode of NWA’s weekly flagship broadcast.

The NWA broadcaster frequently acknowledges favoritism toward Pretty Empowered (the pairing of Kenzie Paige and sister Kylie). However, in this instance, he contends The IT Girls were at a double disadvantage.
“How can you expect Ella and Ms. Ms. Starr to defend with no real opportunity to prepare?” Dealz asks. “More importantly, it wasn't just any two opponents! They were thrown in there against the Women’s World and Women’s TV champions!”
Regardless, the outcome is etched in NWA history. Paige, already NWA's only Women’s Grand Slam Champion, now becomes the first to simultaneously reign as Women’s World and Women’s World Tag Team champions.

Likewise, it’s a huge leap forward for Big Mama as well. Mere months ago, her victory over Natalia Markova in a four-way elimination match to crown a new NWA Women’s TV champion was considered a major upset. Now the veteran grappler further cements her legacy as the first woman to hold the TV and World Tag titles at once.
“I don’t think anyone, I’d guess not even Big Mama, saw this one coming,” Galli states.
“It’s a true testament to why you can never miss a National Wrestling Alliance live event,” he concludes. “You never know what might happen!”
The National Wrestling Alliance brings hard-hitting pro wrestling action back to Alabama on March 22. Tickets to Hard Times V, returning to the Dothan Civic Center, are on sale now.
New episodes of NWA Powerrr launch worldwide every Tuesday, 6:05pm EST, on NWA’s X (formerly Twitter) account.
