What's with all the private, paywall stories on your site? I guess it is time to get my news elsewhere.
What is the reason for the stories in the Elite? The financial support of the Elite members allow us to provide so much content to the users of PWInsider.com at no charge. I understand that not everyone wants to support the site financially, and that is most certainly your choice, but the fact to the matter is that this is a business and we rely on its revenues to feed our families. The vast majority of our revenue comes from the Elite site, even more so after changes Google made a year or so ago that reduces advertising revenue for sites like ours. The Elite members here appreciate the work that we do and keep us viable. We want to show them our appreciation for supporting our work with their hard earned money and say thank you to them with extra content and exclusive news items. The support of Elite members has kept us in business for over 21 years and to be honest, their support allows us to share as much content on PWInsider as we do. We won’t ever apologize for giving value to our paying customers. I believe that’s what all businesses should do. If you don’t appreciate that, certainly feel free to go elsewhere.
How great was the presentation of the Rumble with the graphic tracking the entrants and who was in and how many were left? Felt like a Super Bowl level event, and didn't take away from the camera work. And, nice touch highlighting the home country (and height/weight for the men).
It was awesome, I said so in my blog. Lee Fitting has brought so much to the WWE presentation. It’s really clear now that it was time for Kevin Dunn to retire.
Did either of you ever think when you got into the business of wrestling journalism, you would end having to do as much going through legal briefs and the like as you've had to do? Not only that, but coverage of Wall Street and other major media rights stories? Can't imagine that you ever thought the product would get to the level it has.
I never really thought about it but now that you mention it, yeah the business has really grown since we got involved, that’s for sure.
How much did you pop for the "Meltzer Fears Facts" sign at the Rumble?
You know, when you blog a show you do miss some things and that was one of them that I missed. Thanks for sharing it with me because yes, I popped!
I understand that Charlotte and Jey are over and are great athletes, but doesn't their wins seem like a slap in the face to other wrestlers? Like "You might be a great wrestler, but you aren't a part of 'The Families'". It feels like WWE has a nepotism problem, and I'm curious when that is going to catch up to them. Or is it not, because that how the business goes? Which would be a shame.
I couldn’t disagree with you more. First, Jey Uso has been rising, on his own, for years now. The fans LOVE him. If you watched the open of Raw, which was a great piece of TV, you saw what a great choice he was. There will be tens of thousands of people Yeeting in Las Vegas for his entrance and if he wins, the fans will go insane. This is not nepotism, and either is Charlotte winning. It’s not like Ric Flair is a part of WWE, let alone a big one. Charlotte suffered a heinous injury and worked her ass off to come back. She wasn’t off for any other reason that she was really hurt. I am fine with her winning. I think you are way off base here.
