01/30/25 Results from New Japan's Road to The New Beginning from Sendai Sun Plaza Hall, Miyagi, Japan:
Dark match: Daiki Nagai vs. Masatora Yasuda
Both men wrestle to a draw.
1 - Katsuya Murashima and YOSHI-HASHI vs. Hartley Jackson and Ryohei Oiwa
Oiwa forces Murashima to tap out to an arm hammerlock submission.
2 - Jado, Togi Makabe, Shota Umino and El Phantasmo vs. Jakob Austin Young, Francesco Akira, Great O-Khan and Jeff Cobb
When O-Khan took off his ring robe, he was wearing a pink "Shooter" shirt, one of Shota Umino's merchandise shirts. O-Khan tears the shirt and throws it at Umino. Umino puts on the shirt, unfazed by O-Khan's disrespect.
ELP pins Young after a CR2.
After the match, Umino gave his shirt to a child at ringside and he and El Phantasmo took photos with the family.
They are trying to rebuild Umino as the biggest babyface in a big way.
3 - TAKA Michinoku and Taichi vs. Taiji Ishimori and SANADA
SANADA is still wearing the "F**k Just 4 Guys" T-shirt.
They brawl into the crowd to start the match. SANADA hit low blows on both TAKA and Taichi. Ishimori pins TAKA with a Gedo Clutch.
SANADA and Taichi continue to brawl after the match.
4 - Tomoaki Honma and Tomohiro Ishii vs. Hiromu Takahashi and Tetsuya Naito
Naito forces Honma to tap out to a Pluma Blanca.
5 - BUSHI, Shingo Takagi and Yota Tsuji vs. Clark Conners, Drilla Moloney and Gabe Kidd
Conners pins BUSHI after a No Chaser.
6 - NEVER Openweight 6-man Tag Team Championship: Boltin Oleg, Toru Yano and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. SHO, Yujiro Takahashi and Ren Narita
House of Torture came to the ring first. Oleg, Yano and Tanahashi attacked them from behind, a receipt of months of sneak attacks on Tanahashi. They fought into the crowd. Oleg threw SHO around the ring like a toy. Yoshinobu Kanemaru ran to ringside. Yano hits a powerbomb on SHO and goes for a pin. Kanemaru throws a young lion into the referee, breaking the count.
Yano hits a low blow on Kanemaru, but Kanemaru is able to spit whiskey in Yano's face. SHO hits a low blow on Yano. SHO rolls up Yano in a cradle for a pin.
SHO, Yujiro Takahashi and Ren Narita win the NEVER Openweight 6-man Tag Team Championship.
No EVIL or Dick Togo. We shall see where they pop up.
7 - YOH, El Desperado and Hirooki Goto vs. Robbie Eagles, Kosei Fujita and Zack Sabre Jr.
ZSJ pins Goto with a Sabre Clutch.
Both Goto and ZSJ have pinfall wins against each other in tag matches.
TMDK addresses the crowd and thanks them for coming. Zack says to Goto that this is his last chance at his World Title.
