How cool have Kevin Owens’ shirts, mocking Cody, been?
I pop for them. I love that layer of added animus in the feud. Great stuff.
Has there ever been a year when The Royal Rumble matches have been as wide open as they are this year?
I can’t think of one. They are both wide open and what’s even better is that they will probably also set up a lot of matches for WrestleMania in it as well.
I think it’s fair to ask now after two SNMEs. What is the point of them? They have been very predictable and nothing of significance has happened. They even in fact border on boring. It’s obvious they aren’t going to do anything special with them. So what is the point?
First and foremost the point is revenue generation and exposure on National Broadcast TV. As for the rest of your commentary, thanks for the laugh. If you thought both shows bordered on boring you watch wrestling for a different reason than I do. Enjoy whatever it is you find interesting.
Indie fans are finally turning on Tony Khan and AEW in addition to everyone else in the world it seems. When Ricky Starks wrestled at House of Glory aka HOG, fans were caught on video chanting "RAW on Netflix" and "F*** TK".
That's what happens when someone is in over their head, makes the same mistakes over and over again and won't take quality advice from people who could help him. To be fair, not all fans have turned on him but certainly a lot have, as evidenced by lower ratings, merchandise sales and attendance.
I do eventually see Hogan making an appearance on a future Saturday Night's Main Event. Do you think some fans are making too big of a deal about what would happen if Hogan and Jesse Ventura are in the same building and run into each other. Those two are utmost professionals, I doubt they would go to blows and cause a melee backstage. And Jesse himself said on WFAN recently that he doesn't hate Hogan at all. It's just they haven't made up. They're not CM Punk & Colt Cabana in AEW.
One, if I am WWE I don’t have Hogan appear given the reactions to him/his name in Los Angeles and Dallas. It makes no sense to take the chance of having him booed again. I don’t think if he came across Jesse that they would come to blows. I think Hogan would either avoid Jesse or pander to him if he actually did come face to face.
