TNA NEWS AND NOTES COMING OUT OF TONIGHT'S LIVE IMPACT ON AXS

By Mike Johnson on 2025-01-23 22:37:00

TNA management was very happy with tonight's live broadcast, feeling it came off without any major issues.  The hope is to do them at least once a month going forward, but that's not locked in stone.

Mustafa Ali returned to TNA tonight to kick off a program with Mike Santana.  It was announced he has officially signed with the company.

As we broke earlier today, Frankie Kazarian has also signed a new deal with TNA.  We have a great conversation with Kazarian up for Elite subscribers.

Nate Frazier tweeted:

PCO has been removed from TNA's roster.  His deal expired at the end of the year.  Sources close to him indicate the belief was a deal was on the table until just a few weeks ago.  He last wrestled for the company in Atlanta in December and something obviously changed at the last minute, or they would have planned to get the Digiital Media title off of him.  PCO noted that he drew the company a huge house in Montreal when he was ranting at GCW about the situation, so obviously he feels very upset about this.  The Digital Media Championship, which he destroyed at GCW, has already been replaced as PCO's former "wife" Steph De Lander returned with it tonight.  We are working to have more on that situation.  TNA has not commented at all, even privately.

Former GCW Champion Mance Warner debuted and will be with De Lander on camera, feuding with Sami Callihan.

WWE Hall of Famer and one of the all time best heels ever, Tully Blanchard was at tonight's taping.  We are told there was material filmed with he and his daughter Tessa Blanchard backstage.  TNA showed him briefly during Tessa's live promo.   Every single talent in that locker room should be tapping into Blanchard's brain, but that's just my opinion.

John Layfield had a staredown with TNA Champion Joe Hendry tonight.

Announced for next week's TNA, which will be taped tomorrow in San Antonio:

*Nic Nemeth to address TNA fans.

*Josh Alexander & Eric Young vs. The Northern Armory.

*NXT's Wes Lee vs. Ace Austin.

*Mustafa Ali in action.
