TNA will broadcast a live episode of Impact on AXS on Thursday 2/20 at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, followed by an additional TV Taping on Friday 2/21:
Tickets will go on sale tomorrow at 10 AM Eastern at TNAWrestling.com.
This is a deal the promotion has been working on for months, dating back to when Lou D'Angeli was with the company. John P. Saboor, Full Sail's Executive Director, Head of Partnerships was formerly with WWE and was heavily involved as well as TNA's current management in making the deal. There were rumblings over the last few days the deal had been completed.
As I noted earlier today, TNA has been planning for additional live broadcasts of Impact, so I'd expect additional dates at Full Sail as the year goes on. We had reported last year the company was looking at a potential permanent home for the series. Certainly, Full Sail would be a perfect landing point.
WWE NXT taped regularly at Full Sail until the COVID-19 pandemic, at which point they shifted to the nearby WWE Performance Center. WWE also taped a season of Tough Enough from The University. Full Sail staff and students took part in WWE's production. There is no word yet whether TNA will utilize them in the same manner.
