NWA POWERRR RECAP FOR 1/21/25

- Danny Dealz & Joe Galli are in the ring to start the program and they go over the card for tonight’s show.

Joe Ocasio & Colby Corino vs. Zyon & Magic Jake Dumas

The match begins with Corino looking for a takedown on Dumas and both trade attacks on their arms, Dumas gets to the ropes to get Corino off of him. Corino goes back after the arm of Dumas and he drags Dumas to the ground, Ocasio tags in and he nails a cornered Dumas with strikes followed by a back body drop. Zyon tags in and he does some chain wrestling with Ocasio until he gets him down, Ocasio gets Zyon in a front headlock and Zyon gets free before attacking his leg. Ocasio gets free and he goes back to the attack against Zyon, Ocasio sends Zyon into the corner before landing an avalanche for a near fall. Ocasio gets Zyon in a single leg crab and Dumas breaks that up, Zyon sends Ocasio into the corner before stomping away on him.

Dumas tags in and he gets Ocasio out of the corner before landing a basement drop kick for a near fall, Zyon tags back in and he nails Ocasio with more strikes in the corner. Zyon and Dumas double team Ocasio before Zyon lands a knee strike for a near fall, Zyon grounds Ocasio before landing a fist drop. Dumas tags back in and Ocasio fights back against him and Zyon, Corino tags in and he cleans house against the opposing team. Corino drops both opponents with a DDT/cutter combination for a near fall, Ocasio hits the ring and he knocks Zyon out of it. Corino then hits Dumas with an L-Driver for a three count.

Winners: Joe Ocasio & Colby Corino

Natalia Markova vs. Tiffany Nieves

The match begins with Markova dropping Nieves with a Thesz Press followed by some strikes, Nieves fights back and Markova nails her with more strikes. Markova traps the arm of Nieves before landing a knee strike for a near fall, Nieves fights back again and she drops Markova with a DDT for a near fall. Nieves keeps Markova down while landing stomps and then choking her along the middle rope, Nieves charges at Markova and Markova sends her to the arena floor. Markova then misses a suicide dive on Nieves and Nieves follows up by landing some strikes, Nieves then sends Markova face first into the ring post. Nieves continues attacking Markova until the ref calls for the bell due to a count out.

Match Result: Double Count Out

After the match, Tiffany Nieves grabs a steel chair and she attacks Natalia Markova with it.

- A video package highlighting the late Jax Dane airs.

Jax Dane & Baron Von Storm vs. BLK Jeez & Mims

The match begins with Dane shoving Mims to the mat, Mims gets Dane in a headlock and Dane gets him down again. Dane then hits a swinging Mims with an overhead release suplex followed by a belly to belly suplex, Mims fights back and he traps Dane in the corner before landing some strikes. Mims then drops Dane with a clothesline as he exits the corner, Mims then lands a splash on a downed Dane for a near fall. Jeez tags in and Dane drops him and Mims with a double shoulder tackle, Von Storm tags in and he clears the ring. Dane tags in and he drags Jeez to the ring apron before Mims trips him up on a suplex attempt, Mims drags Dane out of the ring before sending him into the ring steps. Mims gets Dane back in the ring and Jeez gets a near fall on him, Dane recovers and he drops a charging Jeez with a shoulder block. Mims interferes and that allows Jeez to hit Dane with a chop block followed by a flat liner for a near fall, Mims tags in and he nails Dane with a splash for a near fall.

Mims keeps Dane down before landing a DDT onto his leg, Jeez tags back in and he stomps away on a downed Dane. Jeez then chokes a downed Dane with some tape, Mims tags in and he lands seated sentons on the injured leg of Dane. Mims follows up by applying a single leg crab to a downed Dane, Dane gets free and he catches a charging Mims before dropping him with a Samoan drop. Von Storm and Jeez are tagged into the match, Von Storm quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team. Dane returns to the ring and he knocks Mims out of the ring, Von Storm catches Jeez in the claw and Jeez taps out.

Winners: Jax Dane & Baron Von Storm

After the match, Baron Von Storm and Jax Dane continue attacking BLK Jeez and Mims.

- Kyle Davis interviews Daisy Kill, who says that being the number one contender to the NWA World Tag Team Championships (with Talos) feels great. The Immortals come out and Kratos wants Kill to run his mouth to his face, Kill insults Kratos and that starts a brawl between both teams.

Kerry Morton vs. Connor Murphy

The match begins with Morton attacking the arm of Murphy before getting him in a headlock, Murphy gets free and he goes after the arm of Morton. Morton trips up Murphy and he then nails him with a suplex, Morton follows up by hitting Murphy with a hip toss. Morton traps Murphy in the corner before landing some strikes, Murphy recovers and he nails Morton with a hip toss. Murphy traps Morton in the corner before landing a running cross body block, Morton recovers and he nails a charging Murphy with a clothesline. Morton follows up by hitting Murphy with a slingshot suplex, Murphy misses a cross body block and Morton kicks him in the midsection. Morton briefly traps the hurt Murphy in an abdominal stretch, Murphy recovers and he catches Morton in a small package for a near fall.

Morton fights back and he nails Murphy with a modified blue thunder bomb, Murphy fights back and he nails Morton with a few strikes. Murphy goes for a DDT and Morton counters with a knee strike, Morton then hits Murphy with a reverse DDT for a near fall.

Winner: Kerry Morton

- A video package airs on EC3 and the chaos he has caused recently in the NWA, EC3 promises to defeat Thom Lattimer in a steel cage match to reclaim the NWA World Heavyweight Title.

Non-Title Match: Thom Lattimer (NWA World Heavyweight Champion) vs. Tyler Franks

The match begins with Lattimer dropping Franks with a snap mare followed by a headlock takedown, Franks gets free and he misses a drop kick attempt. Lattimer keeps Franks grounded while attacking his arm, Franks backs Lattimer into the corner and Lattimer gets free before avoiding another drop kick from Franks. Franks then catches Lattimer in a few roll ups for a few near falls, Franks then nails a charging Lattimer with a drop kick. Lattimer gets angry and Franks pokes him right in the eyes, Franks then cracks a blinded Lattimer with a plethora of strikes for a near fall. Franks keeps Lattimer grounded while landing multiple knee drops for another near fall, Lattimer fights back and Franks nails him with a springboard neck breaker for a near fall. Franks keeps Lattimer down while landing elbow strikes to his neck, Franks then applies a modified chin lock to Lattimer.

Lattimer gets free and Franks nails him with a spinning back fist followed by a knee strike, Lattimer recovers and he drops a charging Franks before landing an atomic drop followed by a clothesline. Lattimer then hits Franks with Fusion Bay followed by a DDT, Lattimer then hits Franks with the Brighter Side Of Suffering for a three count.

Winner: Thom Lattimer (NWA World Heavyweight Champion)
