I was very sad to read about the passing of guitarist John Skyes, who played most famously with Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake of cancer yesterday at the age of 65. The self-titled Whitesnake album was an instant classic in 1987 with Sykes and David Coverdale co-writing most of that record before falling out. WCW used their song Still of The Night as a music video to promote The Skyscrapers, Dan Spivey and Sid Vicious in 1989. Sykes has a huge library of great music, so I hope you check it out. Our deepest condolences to his family, friends and fans.
I also wanted to note that baseball legend Jeff Torborg also passed away. Torborg was the father of former WCW star Dale Torborg aka the Kiss Demon. TNA paid tribute to him, showcasing footage of him at ringside at their Turning Point 2005 PPV in Orlando. Our deepest condolences to Dale and The Torborg family as well as Jeff's frends and fans.
