The main event of the 2/8 MLW return to Atlanta will be MLW Champion Matt Riddle vs. Satoshi Kojima vs. Alex Kane.
MLW states 2,400 tickets were sold for Dallas over the weekend, plus an additional 40 standing room tickets. Tickets for their return this September go on sale tomorrow. The promotion was totally taken aback by the walk-up for the show as it was stronger than even when the Von Erichs were there (and having attended at least one show during that run in Dallas, it was packed then) and couldn't have gotten another chair in the venue if they wanted. With TNA and WWE both in the market this month and the NWA running the same night in Forney (which we are told also did well), MLW was extremely pleased with the fans in attendance.
There were a lot of issues getting talents into Dallas due to the snowstorm in the area as a lot of the scheduled flights were canceled or delayed forever, the same issues AEW and WWE talents were dealing with that we reported on at the time. The next day (day of show) was just as much of a mess for travel. Kevin Knight specifically didn't arrive to the venue until 7:30 after spending all day Saturday trying to fly in.
We are told the Mistico and Filthy Bros merchandise were the hottest sellers in Dallas. MLW sources state there should some news on MLW Galoob action figures shortly.
There are plans for more New Japan Pro Wrestling talents to appear in the near future. They are also eyeing bringing some more known free agents currently.
MLW sources state that only 35% of tickets for their Los Angeles debut at the Commerce Casino are left. This is being positioned as one of, if not the biggest show, of the year for the company. It will be headlined by Battle Riot 2025.
