Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is backstage at today's Smackdown taping in Phoenix, Arizona, PWInsider.com can confirm.
The belief among those we've spoken to is he's appearing on tonight's episode.
It should be noted that the word making the rounds among WWE talents over the last week was that McIntyre has been expected to move from Raw to the Smackdown brand as part of WWE reshuffling their roster now that all the new TV deals are kicking in. With Smackdown expanding to three hours, it makes sense they would want one of their top talents added to the Blue brand. There's no word yet whether the move is official, but it has been a topic of discussion at recent Raw and Smackdown tapings.
Logan Paul had been previously announced as moving from Smackdown to Raw.
