WOW WRESTLING EPISODE 316 RECAP
- Lana Star & The Fab Four make their way to the ring to start the show, Star says she is wondering why Miami’s Sweet Heat was denied a tag team title shot that was given to Animal Instinct. Animal Instinct interrupts and makes their way to the ring, Goldie Collins says her team would’ve been the new champions if Miami’s Sweet Heat didn’t interfere in the match. WOW Tag Team Champions Big Rig Betty & Jessie Jones make their way to ringside, the champs insult Miami’s Sweet Heat before saying they don’t care who gets the next title shot. Jones says they want to have a triple threat match for the titles and David McClane agrees and it will take place next week.
WOW Championship Battle Royal Qualifying Match
Fury vs. Princess Aussie
The match begins with some chain wrestling between Aussie and Fury, Fury gets Aussie down before getting her in a front headlock. Aussie gets free and she goes after the arm of Fury, Fury gets free and she does the same to Aussie. Fury gets Aussie in a headlock and Aussie gets free before eating a shoulder tackle, Fury and Aussie exchange roll ups for a few near falls. Aussie sends Fury into the corner before landing an avalanche followed by a suplex for a near fall, Aussie keeps Fury down before landing an elbow drop for a near fall. Fury recovers and she sends Aussie into the middle rope before landing a knee strike, Fury gets Aussie off the ropes before landing another knee strike for a near fall. Aussie misses a clothesline and Fury nails her with a release German suplex for a near fall, Aussie fights back before dropping Fury with some clotheslines.
Aussie then drops Fury with a back suplex for a near fall, Aussie looks for a double arm DDT and Fury counters with a flat liner. Fury catches Aussie in a submission and Aussie looks for a pin attempt to get free, Aussie recovers and she nails Fury with a cutter for a three count.
Winner: Princess Aussie
WOW Championship Battle Royal Qualifying Match
Gloria Glitter w/Coach Campanelli & Kandi Krush vs. Chantilly Chella
The match begins with Glitter kicking Chella in the midsection, Chella recovers before trading arm drags with Glitter. Chella drops Glitter with a springboard head scissors takedown, Chella then hits Glitter with a drop kick for a near fall. Glitter recovers and she sends Chella into the top rope before landing a Widow’s Peak, Glitter stands Chella up before applying a full nelson to her. Glitter releases the hold before nailing Chella with a front suplex followed by a sliding lariat for a near fall, Chella fights back and she drops Glitter after landing a few kicks. Glitter recovers and she nails Chella with a knee before locking her in a submission, Chella gets free and Glitter strikes her with a throat thrust. Glitter then hits Chella with a jaw breaker followed by a clothesline for a near fall, Glitter then tosses Chella out of the ring and nobody from Top Tier interferes. Glitter leaves the ring and Chella gets her back in after landing a few strikes, Chella then drops Glitter multiple times with clotheslines.
Chella traps Glitter in the corner before landing a knee strike, Chella then hits Glitter with a missile drop kick for a near fall. Chella goes for a cutter and Glitter blocks it, Glitter goes for the Aerobic Annihilator and Chella counters with a head kick for a near fall. Glitter recovers and she chokes Chella along the bottom rope, Glitter looks for her finisher again and Chella catches her in a roll up for a three count.
Winner: Chantilly Chella
After the match, Coach Campanelli gets the microphone and she says that she isn’t happy after Gloria Glitter lost. Campanelli says she is disappointed in Glitter for losing and even entering the qualifying match, Campanelli says she knows best and Glitter doesn’t. Campanelli then announces that Glitter is on probation now.
- Chainsaw is shown walking backstage when Pep Riley gives her a flower.
- Holidead is backstage and she says darkness is her favorite color, Holidead says Chainsaw is on her train of violence now.
WOW Championship Battle Royal Qualifying Match
Chainsaw w/Angelica Dante vs. Holidead
The match begins with Chainsaw shoving Holidead into the ropes a few times, Chainsaw picks up Holidead and Holidead fights her way to freedom. Holidead tosses Chainsaw out of the ring and she follows her out there while landing strikes, Holidead then sends a charging Chainsaw into the ring post. Holidead gets Chainsaw back in the ring before landing more strikes, Holidead then nails Chainsaw with a leg drop on the ring apron. Chainsaw fights back and she sends Holidead into the corner before choking her, Holidead fights back and Chainsaw slams her. Chainsaw then nails Holidead with a leg drop, Chainsaw misses a charge in the corner and Holidead nails her with a spine buster. Holidead sets up for Darkness Falls and the flower falls out of Chainsaw’s pocket, Holidead accidentally steps on the flower and Chainsaw continues attacking her until the ref calls for the bell.
Winner: Holidead, by DQ
- Samantha Smart is backstage having The Classmaster watching more footage of Tormenta.
- Tormenta is backstage and she talks about entering the battle royal to become the new WOW Champion.
The Classmaster w/Samantha Smart vs. Tormenta
The match begins with Tormenta attempting to drop Classmaster with shoulder tackles, Tormenta eventually drops Classmaster with a rope assisted arm drag. Smart interferes and that allows Classmaster to attack Tormenta from behind, Classmaster traps Tormenta in the corner while landing shoulder thrusts to her midsection. Classmaster keeps Tormenta cornered while landing a bunch of strikes, Classmaster drops Tormenta before kicking her in the back. Classmaster keeps Tormenta grounded before landing a double leg drop, Classmaster applies the Scholar Collar to Tormenta and Tormenta eventually gets free. Classmaster gets Tormenta back in the corner before tossing her across the ring a few times, Classmaster then nails Tormenta with a big boot for a near fall. Classmaster stands Tormenta up before landing a few strikes and dropping her, Classmaster then hits Tormenta with a leg drop for a near fall.
Tormenta fights back and she nails Classmaster with a missile drop kick, Classmaster fights back and she hits Tormenta with an avalanche. Smart interferes again and Tormenta overcomes it to roll up Classmaster for a three count.
Winner: Tormenta
After the match, Samantha Smart gets the microphone and she says Tormenta’s win will not matter in the end because The Classmaster will become the new WOW Champion.
