Going into 2025, what are you keeping an eye on and what do you feel are the biggest potential stories in wrestling in the New Year? I would assume the list includes:
1. RAW to Netflix
2. AEW to MAX
3. Vince’s legal issues
4. AEW’s declining interest
5. Can WWE stay this hot for another 12 months
What else is on the list in your mind? Is anything on this list doesn’t belong in your opinion?
You know, the biggest stories seem to come up on us and are hard to predict. All of the items you mentioned will be watched, for sure, but the biggest news stories will probably be something that we didn’t see coming, like Vince McMahon’s scandal in 2022 or Endeavor moving so quickly to buy WWE.
What is most surprised return in WWE history in your opinion?
I would have to go with Bruno Sammartino. The bad blood was there for decades. I am glad Bruno found peace before he passed.
I see that Logan Paul is set to fight Conor McGregor. Is he allowed to do this per his agreement with WWE, does WWE get a fee from the promoter, and is there a clause in his contract in the event of an injury?
He is definitely allowed to do it. From what I have been told his WWE allows him to pursue outside interests as well. He was in a great position to get that deal. As of right now, I don’t believe WWE is involved with the exhibition but I can’t say that 100 percent.
Do you think there will be anything special done tonight on the last Raw on USA?
Since next week is the big show for WWE, I don’t expect them to do anything super crazy tonight unless it’s done as a way to promote next week’s show. I would think they would say something about their run on USA though.
Hi guys, I'm sending a Mailbag question in to you after a few too many drinks, but, while today (November 5th, 2024) is a bad day for America, is it good news for Vince McMahon's legal future?
I think Donald Trump winning the Presidency will have a direct effect on the Federal investigation into Vince McMahon being dropped. I feel pretty confident in saying that.
In a follow up from yesterday: A number of Canadian readers sent word that the 1/3 edition of Smackdown will air on WWE's YouTube channel before debuting on Netflix the next week.
