WWE has/had multiple international deals in addition to the USA, so I wonder will they  make more or less money with the RAW move to Netflix?

One thing TKO’S WWE is all about is making as much money as possible. I don’t see any world where they do the deal with Netflix if it would cost them money.  No way.

As WWE pulls out of its global TV presence as part of the Netflix deal, networks are replacing WWE shows with AEW and TNA. We've already seen this in Canada and Mexico, as well as with the extension of the AEW UK TV deal. I get that WWE can't turn down half a billion dollars a year, and through Netflix has access to 280+ million subscribers worldwide, but shouldn't there be some concern about the other companies eating into their market share? Netflix sub totals are low in Asia and Latin America, and those are areas where WWE has been dominant, especially India where Netflix is unpopular due to the price. Could snagging international TV deals be the boost that AEW and TNA need?

AEW and TNA sure hope so.  Me?  I think to most of the world WWE is wrestling and if they can’t see that, most of the people won’t move on to the next brand.  I could be wrong on that for sure, but I just don’t see fans of WWE seeing another brand anywhere being on the same level and suddenly start watching it.

With all of the female talent they have and are going to sign do you think WWE could eventually have an all women’s brand like Raw Smackdown and NXT?

I don’t see it happening.  They don’t have an all male brand so it doesn’t make any sense to me to do an all female brand.

How much fun was Carmelo Hayes v. Braun Strowman on SD (Dec 13th, 2024 )?  I thought it was a great old school squash match with all the right elements.  Cocky young guy gets obliterated by the monster, in short order.  Hayes got offense, but it all had little effect ( which he sold perfectly with his facials ) and he wound up getting stomped.  Hayes used his speed to put Strowman in momentary peril, which was believable. There were no unrealistic exchanges of chops, shitty looking forearm/elbow strikes and Strowman didn't have to pull out every last trick in his arsenal to win against some half his size.  He needed ONE big move and done.  Hayes got humbled, and it's certainly something fun they could revisit.   There's another guy who books some other company who could learn a lot from that 90 second match.  His name escapes me, but it'll come to me. Thoughts?

I liked it in the moment and I like it more now that Melo has gotten over on Braun. It’s a nice way to get him good exposure.  WWE creative is very good at that concept.

Are you glad Rampage is cancelled?

I can’t say that I am glad because I really wished that Tony Khan would have made it a successful show but I am not unhappy that I don’t have to spend time watching a largely meaningless program anymore.  Rampage was just wrestling for the sake of wrestling.
