THE TONY KHAN IS THE PRIMARY REASON FOR AEW’S PROBLEMS EDITION OF THE Q AND A

Now that the IWC is deciding to turn on Tony Khan what is AEW’s true fan base? If they’re booking for the sickos and the hardcores and that group has decided it’s anti-Tony, where does that leave the company?

I am not sure what you mean by that because I don’t follow what the IWC says and does.  Much like cigarette smoking, ingesting some of the things nitwits say online can be hazardous to your health.  I do know, thanks to Mike Eps, that Tony’s beloved Cagematch is no longer ranking Dynamite at the top of their rankings.  What does that mean?  It tells me that even people who couldn’t care less about great character development and storylines, who enabled Khan for years, are even tiring of his poor booking and the wrestlers doing ever move in the book all the time isn’t enough to make them vote AEW the best program.  It’s both sad (for the business) and hilarious (for the dopes that used Cagematch as a barometer in the first place).

So it looks like yet another hit piece on CM Punk via Ryan Nemeth.  Will they ever let this go?  It's not like WWE/TKO is going to turn around and fire Punk or feature him less.  What's the upside, besides having a small, mentally ill group of fans scream "I told you so"?

Eps and I talked about this “story” too.  First off, WHO THE F*** IS RYAN NEMETH anyway?  That would be like a janitor at a company complaining about a CEO.  The guy is a curtain jerker who means less than Colt Cabana did (you know, the last guy that the AEW Children Of The Corn used as a way to attack Punk).  Honestly?  Once again it just proves Punk right about what a ridiculous mess AEW is backstage and how poorly it’s run. Tony Khan was too much of a ….. I am honestly not sure what he was, to do anything about his beloved Lollipop Guild acting like children and spreading lies about Punk to the house organ newsletter writer that they have on speed dial. Tony, who genuflects to that writer and talks to him ALL OF THE TIME, never felt the need to tell old Uncle Dave that the story about Cabana, which he knew was fraudulent, was a lie. No, Tony waited until Punk blew up at the All Out press conference to say he should have said the story was false sooner.  YA THINK TONY????  Way to be a boss and leader pal!  So what does Khan do next? Well, since he couldn’t be an actual boss/leader and tell his Guild to stop being cancers that were costing him his top guy, he created a new show for Punk where he would have a lot of control and be separated from the cancerous people who have helped AEW regress to the level that it has, stupidly thinking that the children and he would never cross ways (yeah, like he doesn’t do a PPVs where it would have to happen). So what happens then? Tony sends Nemeth, who is aligned with The Lollipop Guild, to the show where those people aren’t supposed to be, and GASP, Punk doesn’t want him there! Who would have seen that coming other than everyone with a functioning brain?  Once again, Tony is his own worst enemy and I don’t expect it to change.  Things like this are why some people root against AEW.

Marina Shafir.  What's the point?  She wasn't featured prominently before her alliance with Moxley and now I supposed to care?  And really, her going after Orange Cassidy might make her a babyface to some folks, ha.  I'm assuming the TK won't want one the guys retaliating against her, so who do you see as the female star who will stand up to her?  Is she even going to wrestle at all?

I honestly couldn’t care less about this. If she had been brought in for this role, maybe I could accept it. But she has been in the company for a while and never meant anything and suddenly I am supposed to accept her being in the top group?  That is some shitty booking right there.

What did you think about the latest "rah rah AEW" speech by Dustin Rhodes?  I like Dustin, but TK, and many AEW employees have been taking public shots at WWE for years now.  All of sudden when the company is struggling they are complaining about the constant online mugging from fans.  It just comes across as someone who's been told to go do it by the boss.

I don’t know his motivation. Maybe he was asked to do it.  Maybe he knew the soft owner’s ego needed it or would appreciate it.  I can’t say.  What I can say is that if Tony would fix how crappy his booking is, he wouldn’t need to have people tell us something that is really bad is actually good.

Dynamite hasn’t broken 600,000 viewers in two weeks now.  Is it the beginning of the end?

No, it’s not.  As long as Tony is willing to pay to play, AEW will stay around.  We still don’t know what the new TV deal is actually paying the company, and frankly if the numbers were as great as the estimates thrown out there, one would think Tony would confirm them. After all, it would be a positive for his company to say that they signed a great new deal.  But, he hasn’t said that so it really makes me doubt the estimates now.  Whatever they are getting now is probably enough for Tony to continue to live his dream of being one of the worst wrestling bookers of the modern era.
