What do you think about the “ famous” journalist saying AEW is more profitable than WWE from 2011-2017 and all of WCW History? I really doubt its more profitable than WWE 2011-2017. Thoughts?
I just laugh at the things that he says. He doesn’t even know for sure what AEW’s TV deal is paying the company and I highly doubt he has seen AEW’s financials. He sure as hell didn’t have access to the books of WWE or WCW. He’s just a clown that says things to shill for the brand of wrestling that he loves. The guy is, as Mike Johnson said, The Rudy Guiliani of Wrestling.
Greetings! Awesome site and an elite subscriber. What do you think about the current WWE roster in terms of how much talent they have now? In terms of talent, is it comparable to the attitude era? Just today a sell out Survivor series, highest grossing arena in history in Canada, without Cody, Kevin, Randy, Cena, Lesnar, Drew, Rollins, Strowman!
They are loaded with talent, for sure. With that said, AEW has a ton of great talent as well. The difference is in how the wrestlers are booked., WWE has a loaded roster of talent because of how they have been presented and booked. When we are told that talents are important, we believe that they are important. When we are told that they are interchangeable, we believe that they are interchangeable.
Is it me, but it seems like lazy booking with all of these tournaments in AEW (International Women’s Cup Qualifier/ Continental Classic). What makes AEW think this will help viewership and ticket sales. To me it just seems something to fill up the time. I get it , TK likes to play match maker, it’s his company, but there has to be something that makes him think this is a great idea. What am I missing?
I wouldn’t call it lazy booking as much as it’s the kind of booking that Tony wants to see. He loves matches. He isn’t big on character development or booking good storylines so tournaments are what he loves to see.
I have no idea who Big Boom AJ is. What is his claim to fame, and what is so special about him and his son that enabled him to elicit such a strong positive crowd reaction at Full Gear?
I had no idea who they were before they showed up in AEW either, and that’s because I am old. They are a father/son social media act. Obviously, we aren’t their target audience.
Paul Heyman comes out dressed like Solo with matching shirt and handkerchief. Paul does the love gesture that Jacob Fatu does and then winks at Jey Uso. He walks away with CM Punk and not Roman. Is this too obvious as a turn is going to happen at War Games or is WWE just playing with the fans?
I took it to mean he was dressed like Solo to get revenge on Solo for what he did to him. Paul turning at War Games would have made no sense to me. WWE doesn’t tell Vince stories anymore, thank God!
