WWE will present Survivor Series: WAR GAMES this Saturday on Peacock and the WWE Network from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada with a 6:00 PM Eastern start time for the PPV. Here is our take on what will happen on Saturday.
Men's War Games Match: Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk [with Paul Heyman]) vs. Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu, and Bronson Reed)
Dave: So, I have to decide if The New group wins because they have the advantage, which is usually the case, or the OGs win to further the favor that Punk has from him and Roman's Wiseman. It could go either way but I will go with Punk doing something to lead his team to victory. I would have went the other way before Smackdown.
Mike: I am really looking forward to this. So many elements to enjoy and watch. How will Punk get along with Roman and the other Bloodline members? How will Bronson Reed fare against the OG Bloodline? What happens when Bronson and Jacob Fatu, two monsters, are on the same team like a modern day version of John Studd & King Kong Bundy? Was Paul Heyman dressed like Solo as a tease for him turning? This has been the best storyline in pro wrestling in forever and we'll get to see the Bloodline explode, something that could have been saved for a Wrestlemania main event if they wanted. That's how massive this is. With the heels having the advantage, we'll get the old school drama building entrance by entrance as well. So, who goes over? In my mind, the best thing would be for Roman's team to survive to tease dissension among Solo's troops...or to give them a reason to get even more vicious. This should be excellent.
Richard: The New Bloodline won the last battle of the Bloodline, but will the streak continue on Saturday night when they are involved in War Games? Will Roman and Punk be able to coexist in the match? What impact will Paul Heyman have on the match from outside the cage? Will New Bloodline be able to work together as well as they have while Old Bloodline continues to look out for individual success over team unity? I wonder how each team will handle the order of entry into the match. Will Punk or Roman be the final entrant for their team? How much damage will Bronson Reed and Jacob Fatu inflict on Old Bloodline until the Match Beyond starts? This match will be a showcase for both Fatu and Reed and should springboard them both into successful results in 2025 and maybe make them favorites for the Royal Rumble. While Seth did not trust Roman enough to join the team, will his issues with CM Punk lead to Seth's involvement in the match? What about Seth's issues with Bronson Reed? Would he help Reed's team win because his hatred for Punk or Roman is greater than for Reed? Or if he gets involved, does he take care of all three men? Since New Bloodline has the advantage on Saturday, I expect to see Classic Bloodline get the win when Punk hits a Go 2 Sleep on Tonga Loa leading into a Roman spear and the victory.
Women's War Games Match: Bianca Belair, Naomi, Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley, and Bayley vs. Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Candice LeRae, Tiffany Stratton, and Nia Jax
Dave: Since I did it in the last match, I will go against the team with the advantage here as well. Rhea has made it so clear that all she cares about is Liv that I am thinking she will let that cost the team somehow.
Mike: Kudos to WWE for letting Team Bianca have the advantage as it will make the match stand out differently from the Men's Wargames. Is that foreshadowing that Liv Morgan's team could be going over? I don't know for sure but that's the way I would go if it was me. The heel champions need to be chased leading into the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania, so why not have them gain the victory here. With Jade "out" and Rhea injured, the babyface team is diminished in terms of power, leaving them a plausible reason for losing, especially with Nia and Raquel being so powerful on the opposing side. I expect this one of be a
Richard: In a bit of a shock, the face team has the advantage in the match but how much of an advantage is it because they had to replace one of the members on the eve of War Games and there have been many points on contention among the members of the team. On the other hand, the heel team is working together and appears to have the upper hand going into War Games. With assistance of Bayley, the faces have the advantage but does that mean that Bianca trusts her after her comments when Jade was still part of the team. I expect Iyo Sky to be the star for her team while Tiffany Stratton will probably be the other team's MVP. If Tiffany has the briefcase with her, I wonder if that will lead to people thinking that she would cash in. I think the face team wins this match, but I think we will also see the seeds of a potential heel turn for the woman who attacked Jade Cargill . . . BIANCA BELAIR. If Raquel Rodriguez is the one to lose for her team, will we see Nia and Candice neutralize her while Tiffany cashes in on Liv to become the new champion? I think there is a better than 50% chance it happens.
United States Championship Match: LA Knight vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Dave: I think Knight holds on. Maybe Shinsuke uses the mist again, not caring if he gets DQ'd.
Mike: I love the presentation of Nakamura right now and if it was me, I'd have him win the title to give Knight something to chase. This could be really good.
Richard: Since Knight is finished with Andrade and Hayes, it is time to move on to his next opponent and it is also time to remember that Shinsuke Nakamura is part of this company. On Friday night, Nakamura has his first television match since late April so it makes sense for him to 'jump the line' to get a title match because he confronted the champion. Knight is still over with the fans so I don't think it is time to take the title off of him, but do they give Nakamura since he is scheduled to wrestle for NOAH in January? I don't think they take the title off Knight and the US title will successfully be defended in Canada.
World Championship Match: Gunther vs. Damian Priest
Dave: Priest has gotten over on Gunther so much leading up to this I see Gunther finding his mojo by beating the former champion.
Mike: I like Damian a lot but I don't see a title change here. I feel like keeping that belt on GUNTHER would be the best choice leading into 2025.
Richard: I have not been a fan of the build for this match. Gunther was the most dominant person in WWE earlier this year and since he won the World Championship, it feels like they have taken away some of the luster from Gunther. First, Kaiser is standing up to him and now Priest is getting the upper hand on Gunther while Gunther acts like he is afraid to speak when Priest is present. This is the night that Gunther needs to dominate and show why he is the Ring General. I expect to see Priest try to get Gunther off his game early to try to get the shock victory in a few minutes, but Gunther will be able to fight it off. Priest will try for the Razor's Edge but Gunther will be able to counter and Gunther will force Priest to submit to the sleeper.
Intercontinental Championship Match: Bron Breakker vs. Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser
Dave: I never want to see the champ lose his Title in a Triple Threat and it shouldn't happen here. I could see Kaiser and Sheamus costing each other so that Bron comes out with his belt.
Mike: This should be a lot of fun. I don't see a title change here. Bron has really turned into such an insanely talented beast.
Richard: When in doubt, Triple Threat it out. Last Monday, Sheamus had a chance to become the Intercontinental Champion for the first time, but it was thwarted by Ludwig Kaiser in his attempt to show Gunther that he is not going to sit in the background and watch. Adam Pearce did what had to be done and he made a triple threat match for the PPV. Will we see any aftereffects of what Bron Breakker did when he tried to run through the announce table? Is the addition of Kaiser to the match a way to get the title off Bron without him taking the pin? Sheamus has talked about adding an Intercontinental Championship to his other titles but is Saturday the night to do it? It doesn't feel like it is time to take the title off Bron, but I see Sheamus adding the title. Maybe he only holds it for a few weeks, but I think we get a new champion when he pins Kaiser after hitting a Brogue Kick on Bron after Bron spears Kaiser.
