Pro Wrestling's artist at large Rob Schamberger's latest subject is Sting.
On the Stinger piece, Schamberger commented, "The Man Called Sting! As soon as I started working with AEW I was looking forward to making a new portrait of this true legend of pro wrestling. I painted this with acrylics, doing a rough underpainting with black, greys and white before glazing over it with color and then layering colors on top to get this final rich look. Sting’s a true maverick of pro wrestling. While he’s worked for all of the major companies, he’s done it in a way that works the best for him, that’s the best fit for where he’s at in his life. I really respect that. It’s a solid way to have a balanced and long career in a very demanding industry."
