It’s WEDNESDAY!!! Happy Thanksgiving Eve!!!! You know what that means! AEW is LIVE and on the air from their home away from home, Chicago, IL. Excalibur, Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone have the call of all the action.
We begin with a Full Gear recap to November Rain. We are reminded that the Continental Classic begins tonight!
Continental Classic Match Blue League: Shelton Benjamin vs. Mark Briscoe
MVP has an announcement. He puts over Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. The crowd wants Swerve Strickland. The Hurt Syndicate is all about money, titles and power. MVP and Lashley have to go to the back, per Continental rules. Code of Honor adhered to. They jostle for position. Suplex by Banjamin. We are told about new rules: The Gold League winner meets the 1st Runner Up of Blue League and the Blue League Winner meets the first runner up for Gold at Worlds End. Winners of those matches meet in the finals, all of which take place at World’s End. Briscoe hits a tope con hillo to the floor. Snap superplex by Benjamin as we go to commercial.
WE are back and it’s forearms by Briscoe. Knee by Benjamin for 2. Choke by Benjamin. He lays forearms in the corner. Rolling thunder by Briscoe. Froggy Bow but Briscoe can’t follow up. On the floor, Briscoe hits a Cactus Jack Elbow. He misses a Froggy Bow. German by Benjamin, followed by another. Back elbows and an enziguiri by Briscoe. Rollup for 2 by Briscoe. Benjamin with a leg lariat. Running knee and a thrust kick for 2 by Benjamin. Another thrust kick. Exploder and Benjamin Scores the pin.

ROH World Championship: Chris Jericho w/the Learning Tree vs. Tomohiro Ishii
We begin with a chop fest. Jericho blinks first and we go right back into chops. German by Ishii. Clothesline by Ishii and Jericho responds in kind. Action spilled to the floor. As we return, we go back to chops and palm strikes to the face, both men stagger. We go to commercial.
We are back and it’s more palm strikes, Jericho goes down. Chops by Jericho followed by a slap. Superplex by Jericho and Ishii pops up. Forearm exchange. Boot to the face by Jericho. Palm strike exchange. Release German by Jericho. Ishii blocks a codebreaker. Lionsault for 2 by Jericho. Judas effect and a codebreaker. Ishii kicks out at 1 but collapses. Spear by Ishii for 2. Codebreaker by Ishii into a lariat for 2. Enziguiri by Ishii but JEricho with a Judas Effect followed by another for the pin.
WINNER AND STILL ROH WORLD CHAMPION CHRIS JERICHO
Rene’ Paquette is with Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana. Swerve needs to rebuild, win or lose. He admits he never got hit that hard. Max Caster walks by and makes fun of him. They brawl. Swerve gets the better of it.
Tony Schiavone brings out Hangman Adam Page. Tony wants to know what’s going on. Page grabs the mic and says he made a deal with Christian Cage. Cage failed in the deal. Page says he’ll do what he should have done in the first place. He wants the AEW World Title. Jay White comes out and reminds us that he’s 5-0 lifetime against Page. Pac and the Death Riders come out to attack. White fights them off. Marina Shafir nails Page with the briefcase. Jon Moxley chokes out White. Sahfir then finishes the job as the Death Riders stomp White.
Gold League Continental Classic Match: Claudio Castignoli vs. Ricochet
Lockup, slam by Claudio. Headlock/shoulderblock by Claudio. Running rana by Ricochet, followed by another. Claudio blocks a 3rd but Ricochet finally connects. Claudio takes a walk. They brawl on the floor and Claudio nails a stun gun.
The crowd is chanting “Bald Forever”...alright.
Claudio slams Ricochet but Ricochet with a dropkick and a tope suicida. The crowd chants “Bald” as Claudio nails an uppercut as we go to commercial.
As we return they trade chops. Claudio to the floor and Ricochet with a tope. Backbreaker and a boot by Claudio for 2. Ricochet with a flying headscissors into a tope con hillo. Flying clothesline into a moonsault for 2 by Ricochet. Elbows by Claudio. Thrust kicks by Ricochet. Uppercut for 2 by Claudio. Double stomp into a sharpshooter by Claudio. Claudio with a crossface. Uppercut for 2 by Claudio. Polish Hammer by Claudio, to the floor they go. Atomic drop on the rail by Claudio. Both make it back in. Claudio with a lariat for the pin

Ricochet has 0 points. We see highlights of Kyle Fletcher’s victory over Wil Ospreay. Rene has Fletcher and Don Callis. They brag about the W Saturday night.
Adam Cole comes out w/Mike Bennett and Matt Taven. Kyle O’Riley interrupts and says he should fight MJF. MJF appears on the screen and says he has zero interest in fighting them. The Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal is next week.
International Women’s Cup Qualifier: Jamie Hayter vs.Queen Aminata
Lockup, they jockey for position, clean break. Lockup, arm drag takedown by Hayter. Front facelock by Hayter, hiptoss by the Queen. Elbow by Hayter, she rams Aminata into the buckles. Chops by Hayter. Aminata chops back. They trade chops. Suplex by Hayter as we go to commercial.
As we return it’s Hayter with a knee. Aminata with a back elbow. They trade rollups. Snap suplex by Aminata into a running knee strike. Aminara with a face first back drop and a stomp. Backbreaker by Hayter. Rollup by Aminata for 2. Hayter with a choke. Aminata rolls back for 2. Lariat and Hayter scores the pin.

Lights go out. Oddly nothing happens.
Earlier today, Rene sat with Mina Shirakawa. She knew the day would come where Mariah May would turn on her. May attacks her with a bottle. She challenges Mina and we’ll get it at Winter is Coming in 2 weeks.
Gold League Match: Darby Allin vs. Brody King
Code of Honor adhered to. Lockup, King throws Allin down. Darby with a slap and Kong sends him down again and nails 2 Setons for 2. Chops by King. Running splash and a chop by King. Another chop by King sends Allin to the floor as we go to commercial.
We are back and both men are on the floor. Allin climbs the rope and King chops him down. Cannonball by King for 2. Something is amiss with commentary, Allin bites the hand of King. Commentary is back. Rana by Allin for 2. Allin with a tops and a coffin drop to the floor. Allin nails another. Allin tries a coffin drop and King with a choke. Gonzo Bomb and King scores the pin.
