Former ECW, WCW and WWE developmental star EZ Money aka Jason Jett returned to the ring for the first time I can recall in years, wrestling for Beside the Ring Wrestling in Elizabethton, TN, defeating The Happy Valley Ninja Warrior (which in itself is a heck of a ring name.) I believe Money last wrestled back in 2015.
The excellent documentary When Giants Walked Here will have a screening this weekend as part of Wrestlecade in Winston-Salem, NC and will air again on PBS' Raleigh, NC affiliate on 12/10. The film chroniciles The Dorton Arena and it's relationship with professional wrestling. David Crockett, CW Anderson and George South are among those interviewed. Promotional material notes, "Raleigh’s Dorton Arena is famed the world over for its groundbreaking architecture. Its greatest untold legacy, however, is its place in the history of a Southern mainstay: pro wrestling. This documentary chronicles the rise and fall of pro wrestling at the iconic venue, examining its impact on generations of fans, competitors and the sport itself." The documentary follows Jim Kettner, the founder of ECWA, and features over 100 interviews that took place across the span of the last two years.
Featuring never-before-seen photos and video, the project covers the highs and lows of Kettner's 40 plus year professional wrestling journey, told for the first time in historic detail.
