Do you think Kenny Omega returns to the ring in AEW before New Japan?
I'd be really surprised if he didn't, but I haven't heard anything in that regard.
Have you ever been to the WWE Performance Center? Would you go to NXT there?
Yes, I've been there twice at WWE's invitation for media events, including the official opening ceremony of the facility. If I am invited back down the line, I'll go. Given I am in NYC, it's not likely I'd fly down for a TV taping otherwise.
I was very shocked to see you didn't go to the NXT show in Philadelphia. Wouldn't you go there for ECW and indy shows? Why not WWE?
A few reasons. One, it was a Wednesday and we did our usual We Don't Need No Stinkin' Name Show audio, which is the most important show of the week, that afternoon due to Dave Scherer and I being on opposite coasts. Two, by the time we were done, NYC traffic would have added another 60-90 minutes to the 2-3 hour drive. So at that point, you are talking 4 hours or so to drive to a TV taping that's two hours long and 99% of which is airing on TV and then drive home another 2-4 hours, depending on traffic. Logistically, it didn't make sense for me. So, I stayed home!
I thought CM Punk was shooting a new TV show, but he's back on WWE TV? Was the TV show thing a work to throw people off after you reported Punk was the fifth guy?
No, he obviously worked the scheduling out between WWE and the TV show. The SyFy show is very much real and shooting right now.
Did WWE sell the old Titan Tower yet?
Not as of this writing.
I saw Kurt Angle has said AEW has offered him contracts to wrestle but he didn't want to do it. Since he's said that he feels his last match with Baron Corbin was more meaningless than meaningful after Corbin was released, do you see Angle changing his mind about wrestling?
I supposed Angle could do a match here or there if he wanted, but wrestling regularly? Unless he really needs it financially (and I would hope he doesn't!), I don't see Angle returning regularly to the ring.
