So...my company is in a ratings spiral, I have poor creative, dwindling attendance and disconnected fans. I know, I'll spend some $$ and license November Rain for a video package. Yeah, that'll work.
Tony is doing what makes him happy. If he likes it, that’s what matters I guess.
If SmackDown goes 3 hours do you think WWE Hall of Fame will happen same night with SmackDown?
That would make a lot of sense. I could see them doing it.
Now that Donald Trump is heading back to the White House, do you foresee him putting the kibosh on the federal investigation of his old pal Vince McMahon?
I think there is probably a pretty good chance of that happening. But, it won’t help McMahon with the civil suit that was filed by Janel Grant. I would guess it’s possible they turn over what they have uncovered to her lawyer before Inauguration Day.
I'm sure you've gotten this question already, BUT do you think a Women's Intercontinental Title is inevitable? I would personally love to see it.
Inevitable? I can’t say that but I could definitely see it happening given how much great talent they have.
I have an AEW question. During the TV deal negotiations one of the things that kept being said was along the lines of AEW will exist as long as Tony wants it too. That was presented as a positive, but is it? If you’re a talent drawing a check from a company that is likely losing money, is certainly losing viewers and ticket buyer and only exists because it’s one persons dream, is that actually job security? If this stops being fun, if WBD says change or else, if it loses too much money or if Tony gets married and starts a family and wants a normal schedule, AEW is in a bad spot at best. Do you think these thoughts factor in when talents decide what company to work for?
All I can tell you is if I am a non-top talent, if the money is comparable, or close to comparable, I am going to WWE. If I am a top talent I get Tony to guarantee my deal, a la WCW back in the day. If I am a younger talent, it would get a little harder. If I was offered a lot more from Tony but WWE/NXT had an interest, it would be a harder call to make. Hopefully Tony never loses interest.
