WAS NETFLIX'S ISSUES LAST NIGHT A BAD OMEN FOR RAW, THE ONE HEEL WHO SHOULD HAVE BEEN WWF CHAMPION, MLW AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2024-11-16 10:00:00

I saw online somewhere that MLW upgraded to a production truck for recent tapings.  What were they using before?

I don't know who would have written that but they obviously haven't ever attended an MLW show in NYC since the production truck has always been parked right outside the entrance to the Melrose Ballroom.  MLW has always had a production truck forever and a day and always had an uplink when they did live programming.  Whoever wrote is absolutely mistaken.

Who's the ONE heel that should have been WWE champion but never had the chance?

Getting it down to one is hard, but I'll always go with Roddy Piper since there was never a more over villain than Piper in his prime and I'd love to have seen what he could have done as champion.  Without him, there's no initial Wrestlemania success.

I watched the Mike Tyson fight, well, I tried to but Netflix kept crashing.  Is this a bad omen for Raw?

I don't think so.  I can't imagine Netflix will get the type of attention and interest in Raw they received for Tyson vs. Jake Paul last night.   There were over 100 million homes trying to stream it at the same time last night.  If the Christmas Day NFL games have similar issues to last night on Netflix, then perhaps I'd worry a lot more.   Right now, I am guessing things will be OK.

Would you fly to that first Raw to cover it in case there are issues?

If WWE was going to give me a workspace, I'd consider it.  Traditionally, they only offer those to us for PPV events.

Why isn't OVW part of the WWE ID deal?

I haven't heard anything in that regard.  Their exclusion was a bit of a surprise.
