WWE Celebrity Hall of Famer Mike Tyson returned to the boxing ring tonight, losing via decision to Jake Paul after they went the distance across eight two-minute rounds live on Netflix from AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
The true story of the Netflix broadcast was the extreme amount of issues with the streaming service getting loads of complaints online due to the streamer crashing or the stream buffering.
Some have written asking whether this is a sign of what WWE may be looking at when Raw moves there this January, but one has to think the sheer amount of people trying to watch the fight tonight would far exceed those seeking to watch Raw.
Netflix did plug Raw would be coming in January with Mauro Ranallo specifically mentioning "WWE" would debut. A new Raw logo was also shown during the broadcast.
WWE Hall of Famers Lita and Trish Stratus were in attendance.
MVP Promotions announced the Paul vs. Tyson live gate surpassed $17.8 million, nearly double the previous Texas gate record for combat sports in both boxing and MMA. Jake Paul referred to the gate as $20 million on the broadcast.
When asked if he would fight again, Tyson said it would depend on the situation and said he would be open to fighting WWE's Logan Paul. Paul responded he would wreck Tyson.
