Spotlight Match: GAL vs Wildhound Johnny Rivera

Gal is very confident that he’s gonna have an easy night against the wild hound. And for a lot of this, it looks like that confidence is earned. Johnny has a couple of bright spots and rollups. He hits a great German and a senton for two. Gal escapes the finish and hits a blue Thunder bomb for the win. 

Match 1: Fancy Ryan Clancy vs Untouchable Tyler Jordan

Good debut test for Jordan against our stalwart fancy man. Clancy doing a good job of controlling Jordan when he has a moment to cook but Tyler is all power. Clancy getting whipped around and slammed down a LOT tonight. Fancy dodges a surprising split legged moonsault, big thez press! Jordan escapes the side Russian but turns into the KO dropkick. Fancy keeps on rolling! He grabs the mic and says he has BIG PLANS for his Call Your Shot contract. Are those plans for TONIGHT?!?

Match 2: Tiara James (w/ Paris Van Dale) vs Vanity

Vanity is also making her Open debut and bowls James right over. She takes plenty of time on the outside, trying to get her head into this. Vanity just rib kicks her on a dropdown. It takes a feigned injury and a timely leg pull from Paris to give Tiara the advantage. James just punishing the arm and shoulder of Vanity, who is shrieking in pain with every hit. James posts herself, Vanity composes, lariats aplenty! Vanity hits a SHATTERED DREAMS…is that legal?!? A cross body doesn’t keep James down. Paris with another distraction and Tiara hits a backstabber for the win. 

Match 3: Swipe Right (Ricky Smokes & Brad Baylor) vs Church of Greatness (Brother Greatness & Lucas Chase)

Swipe Right continues on their path to a shot at the Wrestling Open tag champs by facing Two different of the church tonight. BG having a hard time with Ricky but a blind tag from Chase and the pendulum swings hard. Flying European uppercut to Baylor! High angle demolition device but Baylor kicks out. Baylor eats palm strikes but gets a snap powerslam. Lucas is kept at bay while Swipe Right takes full advantage of Greatness. Greatness using his speed to stay ahead of the boys, the collide hard and Chase tags in. Huge double Samoan drop! Ricky cuts off Brother Greatness from the finish, Chase sent flying and a Swipe Right slams puts BG down for the three. Baylor and Smokes are going to be hard to deny. They announce their own tag title shot. 

BRG is out here. He says we turned our backs on him. We forgot him apparently. And he’s mad. He won’t let us tell him what to do anymore…he’s CALLING THE SHOTS! Uh oh. Here comes Pedro Dones and WE have a fight!

Match 4: Pedro Dones vs BRG

BRG attacks Pedro before he can finish his promo but Dones turns the tables and pummels BRG in the corners without taking his jacket off! Brett guts him and proceeds to taunt the crowd for our love of the shot caller. Pedro unloads some cracking chops! They go back and forth before Pedro puts BRG away with his signature running headbutt. We won!

Match 5: Boofsketball (Dezmond Cole & Jermaine Marbury) vs Bryce Donovan & ???

Apparently…Dezmond Cole is nowhere to be found? Cole says Marbury has no one to protect him….Bryce takes a shot at Benny the Basketball to discourage any BS. Marbury says he has a person to FIX this problem. Jake gray!!! And while the problem is being fixed, JARIEL RIVERA makes his return after a long absence to blindside them both. Bryce seems to have found an ally tonight.

Match 5: Jermaine Marbury & Handyman Jake Gray vs Bryce Donovan & Jariel Rivera

Bryce pummels the crap out of Jake. Rivera wants a piece but Bryce commands him to put his hand down. Rivera tags himself in and gets absolutely juked by Marbury. Great code red from Jermaine as Bryce demands to be tagged in. Donovan in and wipes out Marbury. High angle chokeslam to Gray! He willingly tags Rivera, who hits a spear and gets the three while Bryce is already taking off his wrist tape and packing his bag. Rivera is thrilled to win on his return and offers Bryce a handshake…but he ain’t having it and just leaves through the Bryce door. It’s not the SLADE door anymore. Sorry SLADE. 

 

Main Event Part 1: Rumble in the Eagle (Winner Gets a Wrestling Open Title Shot)

Participants: Armani Kayos, Joe Ocasio, DJ Powers, RJ Rude, Nick Robles, Ray Jaz, Bobby Orlando, Steven Stetson, Hammer Tunis, Rex Lawless & 50 Cal

It’s Royal Rumble style tonight! The winner doesn’t just get a title shot…they get an IMMEDIATE TITLE SHOT.

We start with Orlando (who now has the hardest path towards his title shot happy ending) and Rex Lawless start this off. RJ Rude sings Rex to the ring and are they starting this off together? Not yet, it seems. Orlando is motivated and Rex is very much as ease. Orlando unloads but a huge lawless chop just stops that instantly. 

RJ is number three and now it’s REAL BAD for mom. He sings himself into the ring. The residency just spends the next couple of minutes double teaming Orlando.

Next up is Nick Robles. He reunites with the Residency who are not exactly enthused to see him after his failed audition. Bobby uses the distraction to clothesline RJ over the top! Rex and Robles continue the beatdown.  Orlando escapes a doomsday device! Rex sent into Robles, who gets crotched on the top and falls out of the ring!

Next in is Armani Kayos. Bobby has a respite for a moment as Rex redirects his attentions. Kayos stuns Rex. He baits him to run over the top! Kayos tries to finish the job but Rex powers back into the fray. Finlay Roll to Kayos! Orlando just out in the corner.

DJ Powers in next. The crowd whips right into a DJ Coward chant as Kayos pulls him by the hair into the ring. No alloances here as Rex big boots Kayos and choke bombs Powers. Rex tries to put Bobby out but he comes running and the oldest rope

Pull in the book catches him and sends him to the floor.

Ray Jaz is in next. He’s got that collegiate gear going as he tosses Kayos and Bobby around with ease. For the most part, this rumble feels like Backn paid a bunch of people off to just tenderize Orlando for a half hour. Jaz with a great gutwrench toss on Kayos.

Joe Ocasio is out here and Jaz goes right for him. Corner spear from Jaz but Ocasio turns his confidence around and stomps the hell out of him. Meanwhile, DJ Powers is hugging the post and not getting involved. This certainly is A strategy. Ocasio pulls him in and Powers is sent FLYING towards the hard cam and out of the match.

Hammer Tunis is out next. Superkick to Ocasio! Kayos with a stiff rear view to Tunis but Jaz quickly dumps the Kaytastic one over the top. Jaz rakes the eyes of Joe…Ocasio reverses the whip and send Jaz flying. Ray skins the cat! Ocasio hits another shot and Jaz goes flying. Ray hates that and gets into it with Joe on the apron…Hammer uses the chance to dump Ocasio over the top. 

50 Cal out next and he has a pose off with Tunis. We hate Tunis poses. Cal firing up and pummeling Tunis with no one to intercede. Orlando is just dead in the corner as they fight. Cal gets posted as our final entrant comes out and of course…

…It’s Steven Stetson. He has the mic. He has good news. If the ranch wins tonight, they will forgo their title opportunity since Him and Bacon are on the same page. Stetson just stomping out Orlando in the corner. Bobby fires up and saves 50 from a double suplex! They may fire up…but the ranch hits a double low blow. 50 sent flying by Stetson. Two on one beatdown on mom. Popup neckbreaker. For the ranch? F*** the ranch! Stetson caught posing and Orlando sends Tunis flying over the top! Stetson gets right on him and stomps out Orlando’s back. Setting up the North Jersey Lariat. Bobby ducks! Clothesline sends Stetson to the floor! Orlando is a wreck but he won…and now he has Big Bacon on his plate.

  

Main Event Part 2: Big Bacon Brad Hollister(c) vs Bobby Orlando (for the Wrestling Open Championship)

There’s a lot of over-confidence on display tonight but Bacon might have the best reason for it. This is the most Big Business’y setup for Bacon to deal with his enemies. Bacon comes running…right into a Bobby slam! Cutter for two! Orlando has the momentum! Sick trick taken out of the air with a right hook. Bacon laying more stomps into Bobby. He’s savoring this. Orlando trying to get back into this but Brad just slamming him around and antagonizing the hostile Worcester crowd. Bobby with a shotgun! Bacon to the floor but he quickly returns to cut off the dive. Delay vertical suplex for two! Release German for another close two! Bacon wants the jackhammer but Orlando starts swinging! Iconoclasm!!! Flip to the floor! Sick trick dropkick! Bacon kicks out! This is starting to swing in Bobby’s favor but we have yet to see any of the other Big Business goons tonight. Orlando gets crotches on the top. High velocity hip attacks from the champ! He grabs Bobby Jr…oh no not again! Bacon boots Jr into the crowd. Bobby fires up! Kicks to the head! Sick trick cutter! Kick out!  Corner clotheslines! Bacon with the popup and bacon bomb. The tornado jackhammer puts Orlando down for the clean(ish) three. Hell of a try to one-shot the entire mountain but it proved to be too much. 

AND FANCY RYAN CLANCY’S MUSIC HITS! He’s got his street gear on so let’s see what he’s got in mind…I know what the crowd wants. Clancy says he wanted to do the right thing. He let Dones and Bobby have their shots but he’s sick of watching Brad take all the shortcuts. But now he has the contract. Any opponent. Any stipulation. Any match. Any time. Fancy is headed to Germany for a couple of weeks…but when he comes back? Clancy will let Bacon know just how he plans to force Bacon to face him one on one with no way to take the cheap way out. Tick tock, Bradley.
