I never heard of Will Ospreay before he came to America. A lot of people said he was a huge signing for AEW? Why? And has he been a huge signing?
First things first, Will is a very, very good wrestler. Some touted him as the best in the world before he signed with AEW but that is only true to biased people who rate matches on how many moves a talent does and nothing else. Will can do a LOT of moves. With that said, he is not a fully complete wrestler yet because he has spent his career, in essence, doing moves. That is great for the audience that loves it but there is a lot more to wrestling than just doing moves. While he has been saddled with Tony Khan as a booker, at the end of the day I look at did he move the needle with viewers and as a draw. Since AEW’s business in those areas is down, I would say no, they could be doing the same business without him. Now, if AEW ever hires a good booker, it would be interesting to see how good Ospreay could be as a complete pro wrestler. I think he could very, very good. But with that said, the people who said that WWE missed out badly when they didn’t sign him? Uh, no. They did not need him.
I wanted to know what you thought about mid-card women's titles being introduced and the thought of there being too many belts. I understand the thought process of there being too many belts, but here's the thing: I don't think you can look at it the same way when it
s for different divisions and genders. When RAW had the WWF Title, IC Title, European Title, Hardcore Title, Light Heavyweight Title. and tag titles on one show, yes, that can be much when all of the same people can essentially go for each belt. RAW now has/will have: a men's world title, men's ic title, men's tag titles, women's world title, women's ic title, women's tag titles. While technically the same amount, they are for different divisions. It’s really just three titles guys can win. Same for on SmackDown. If RAW had 6 male titles and Nitro had the WCW, US, TV, Cruiserweight, Tag, and later Hardocre/Cruiserweight Tag, that's 11-13 titles across two companies just for men. SmackDown and RAW combined will have 6. It really isn't as overkill as people think.
Mike Eps and I talked about this on the show Saturday. The Women’s Division is LOADED. There is a ton of talent. Right now, as you said, the women have three main roster Titles. I think that there is plenty of room for a fourth.
I’m blown away by the Women’s talent on NXT, don’t led to this question. Do you consider this NXT Women’s roster better than when the 4 Horseman (+Asuka) was at the same time of development. It’s like 4 vs. 15 in talent and entertainers. Of course, the future will determine the long term comparison.
I am not one for ranking but the NXT Women’s division is loaded and that is part of the reason I have no issue with the new Women’s Title. For sheer numbers, oh yeah there is a ton of talent there right now. The future is bright.
Do any of the WWE wrestlers have any balls and refuse to work the shows in Saudi Arabia?
Some talents have asked out of going in the past. Is that balls? I don’t know, you would have to decide.
Is it true that Shawn Michaels actually dislikes men's wrestling?
No it’s not true but I would guess that he dislike ridiculous questions, like this one.
