HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I hope everyone’s day was filled with candy and scares!
The episode starts off with information about Chris Bey’s injury, along with a statement from him - thanking everyone for the support. There is information at the end of this write up about how you can help support Chris Bey.
There is then a recap of Bound for Glory - Masha Slamovich winning the TNA Knockouts World Championship, Frankie Kazarian winning the Call Your Shot Gauntlet, the TNA World Championship outcome, and the action from the Full Metal Mayhem match.
PCO is in the back and creepily wishes everyone a Happy Halloween.
“Joe Hendry” comes to the ring. It’s Frankie Kazarian dressed exactly like Joe Hendry, along with a blonde wig. He mocks Hendry’s entrance and grabs a microphone. Kazarian, with a Scottish accent, says that “We Believe in losing.” He says that “he” failed at Bound for Glory, but the fans love to hear “him” talk. “He” can still be the fans’ hero, sing songs, and clap/stomp.
The real Joe Hendry comes out when Kazarian mocks Hendry’s catchphrase. Kazarian exits the ring, but stays near the announce table. They do the Spider-man pointing meme and the real Hendry grabs a microphone. Hendry says that after 47 years in the business, Kazarian is finally entertaining. If Kazarian did something like this sooner, he wouldn't have had to wait until the age of 58 to be in the title mix.
All jokes aside, Hendry says that Kazarian took something special away from the people. Hendry knows that Kazarian, John Layfiend, and Nic Nemeth were all in on Hendry losing at Bound for Glory.
Nic Nemeth comes out upon hearing Hendry’s accusation. He says that Hendry brought him to the limit at Bound for Glory and he believes in Hendry. Nemeth went back and watched the match from Bound for Glory. He says that he did not see any of John Layfield’s involvement, aside from Layfield punching Ryan Nemeth in the face. After watching everything back, Nemeth feels that Hendry deserves a rematch. Nemeth went to Santino Marella and requested the rematch for tonight, but Santino said “no.” Nemeth says the system is flawed…
…which brings out The System (Alisha Edwards, Tasha Steelz, Eddie Edwards, and JDC). Eddie Edwards says that if you say their name, they’ll appear. He says that “flaw” and “failure” aren't in The System’s vocabulary. They run TNA wrestling. JDC tells the town to shut up.
Nemeth cuts JDC off and asks where the rest of The System is. And where is their gold? Nemeth suggests a match - Edwards and JDC vs. Nemeth and Hendry. Kazarian, as Joe Hendry, suggests a six-man tag team match with him as Nemeth and Hendry’s partner. Nemeth gives him a superkick and Hendry hits Kazarian with the Standing Ovation. Seems like a “no” to me.
Back from commercial, Alisha Edwards and Tasha Steelz are still in the ring. Alisha wants to be the first to say that Masha Slamovich’s title reign is on borrowed time.
Masha Slamovich comes out. She mocks Alisha’s “Do you want to know something?” Masha says that she, and everyone else, is sick of Alisha’s voice. Masha doesn’t care if it’s Alisha or Tasha Steelz…she’s looking for a fight tonight. Steelz takes a swing at Masha, which Masha ducks. Alisha hits Masha from behind, so Masha turns her attention to Alisha. Alisha tries to protect her injured neck, delaying Masha. The delay allows Steelz to attack Masha - and Steelz and Alisha start to beat down Masha.
Jordynne Grace comes out to make the save. Steelz and Alisha exit the ring and Santino Marella comes out. He makes Jordynne Grace and Masha Slamovich vs. Tasha Steez and Alisha Edwards official for next week. Santino also makes Eddie Edwards and JDC vs. Joe Hendry and Nic Nemeth official for tonight.
First Class vs. The Rascalz
KC Navarro and Trey Miguel start things off. Navarro kicks Miguel in the midsection and hits the ropes. Navarro hits a leaping headscissors and kips up. They lock fingers and Miguel uses his speed to hit a rope assisted arm drag. Zachary Wentz tags in.
The Rascalz double team (using Motor City Machine Gun moves) Navarro for a two count. Wentz hits a PK and a running Shooting Star Press for a two count. Navarro ducks a clothesline and holds onto the ropes. Wentz hits Navarro and KC falls to the floor. Wentz goes for a dive, but AJ Francis pulls at the ropes, causing Wentz to fall to the floor. Navarro hits a dive on Wentz and Francis tags in.
Back in the ring, Francis takes control of Wentz in the corner. Francis hits Tennessee Whiskey, tagging in Navarro in the process. Navarro gets a two count off of the corner attack. Navarro snaps Wentz’s neck and then double stomps him for a two count. Francis tags back in and whips Navarro into Wentz. Navarro sends Wentz into the big boot of Francis for a two count.
Francis stretches the arm of Wentz on the mat. Wentz powers up and almost strikes out of Francis’ grasp until Francis pulls Wentz down by the hair. Francis misses a senton and Wentz tags in Miguel. Miguel comes in hot. Navarro jumps in illegally. Miguel uses quick strikes and speed to take down Navarro.
The Rascalz double team Francis until Navarro comes back in. Navarro and Wentz both fall to the outside. Miguel goes to the top, but is slowed by Navarro. Francis grabs Miguel from the top and hits the Down Payment for the win!
Winners: First Class
Josh Alexander & Two Mystery Partners vs. Eric Young & Jonathan Gresham & Steve Maclin
Josh Alexander’s mystery partners are…The Good Hands! During their entrance, Alexander has a microphone. He says that he’s already in a bad mood, so the crowd better not make it worse (they are chanting “Walking Weiner”). Alexander says that he embarrassed Steve Maclin at Bound for Glory and he did it all by himself. He says that The Good Hands aren’t The Northern Armory because customs denied The Northern Armory’s entry into America. He says that someone in TNA probably stooged them off since The Northern Armory is taking over TNA. Alexander tells The Good Hands that if things go well tonight, they might be able to do more business down the line.
Eric Young, Jonathan Gresham, and Steve Maclin all make their entrances separately.
Jonathan Gresham and Josh Alexander start things off. Alexander immediately tags in John Skyler. Skyler tries to get the advantage early with Gresham’s back turned, but Gresham reads it. Skyler tags in Jason Hotch. Gresham is able to take down Hotch quickly, as well, and drives Hotch’s knee into the canvas multiple times until Skyler breaks it up.
Hotch brings Gresham into the corner and Skyler tags in. The Good Hands try to double team Gresham, but he fights them off. Gresham sends Hotch to the outside. With Gresham between the ropes, Skyler takes a cheap shot at Gresham. Alexander also gets a shot in.
With Gresham now down, Alexander finally tags in. Alexander and The Good Hands triple team Gresham. Eric Young and Steve Maclin try to help, but the referee stops them. Skyler tags in and gets in some shots. Hotch tags in and works over Gresham’s arm. Skyler tags in and slams Gresham, followed by a leg drop for a one count.
Skyler gets in some punches on Gresham and slows things down. Gresham starts to fight back and tags Young in. Young comes in hot. Hotch tags in and Young takes him down. Young goes for the Death Valley Driver, but Alexander is tagged in. He comes in and chop blocks Young. Young is able to tag in Maclin and he comes in hot. He drops Alexander a few times until Alexander tags in Skyler. Alexander leaves the ring and goes up the entrance. With Maclin distracted by Alexander leaving, The Good Hands almost get the better of him.
Maclin fights them off, though. He hits the Crosshairs on Skyler. Young takes care of Hotch. Maclin hits KIA on Skyler for the win!
Winners: Eric Young, Jonathan Gresham, and Steve Maclin
Back from commercial, a good chunk of the Mike Bailey vs. El Hijo del Vikingo match from Bound for Glory is shown.
Trent Seven’s elimination during the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match from the Countdown to Bound for Glory is shown. In the back, Mike Bailey is trying to help Trent Seven keep his head up. The System interrupts. Moose says that they are going to erase everything that happened at Bound for Glory from the TNA archives. The System does not lose.
Mike Bailey asks who ordered the NWO from Temu. Moose tells Bailey to watch it or else he’ll come after the X-Division Championship. Mike Bailey tells Moose to bring it on.
Ash By Elegance with The Personal Concierge and Heather by Elegance vs. Dani Luna with Jody Threat
The Personal Concierge introduces Ash by Elegance, who is dressed as a witch.
They lock up and Dani Luna throws down Ash by Elegance. Ash ducks under another lock up and takes Luna’s back. Luna tosses Ash off. Luna ducks under a lock up and takes Ash’s back. Ash grabs a headlock and hits the ropes. She tries to tackle Luna, but is stood up. Luna hits the ropes and hits a tackle.
Luna then takes control. She hits a corner attack and a throw. Heather by Elegance tries to distract Luna, but Luna grabs Ash. Heather tries to help, but Luna drags them both into the ring. Ash goes to the outside and The Personal Concierge distracts Luna. Luna goes through him and runs at Ash, who trips Luna into the steps.
Ash throws Luna into the ring and gets a two count. Ash takes full control and chops at Luna in the corner. Ash brings Luna down to the canvas and slaps on a headlock. Luna powers out and tackles Ash a few times. Ash wiggles out of the Luna Landing, but eats a boot.
Ash wiggles out of another power move and claws at Luna’s face. While rapper Sada Baby is shown at ringside, Luna hits a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count. Luna hits two Snap German Suplexes. Ash goes to the apron and calls for a timeout. Luna grabs her, but The Personal Concierge distracts the referee. Heather hits Luna with a witch’s broom and Ash hits Rarified Air for the win!
Winner: Ash by Elegance
Lei Ying Lee vs. Maggie Moore
They lock up and Lei Ying Lee grabs an arm. Maggie Moore flips and rolls into grabbing one of Lee’s arms. Lee reverses that and works over Moore’s arm again. Moore frees herself and is able to hit a tackle. Lee goes for a headscissors and drives Moore’s head hard into the canvas and follows it with a stomp.
Lee takes control with strikes in the corner. Moore gets in some shots, but Lee reverses it quickly. Moore flips out of a whip and gets in a big boot. Lee wiggles out of a suplex and hits a spinning kick to the midsection. Lee hits a crossbody after running the ropes. She follows that with Thunderstuck for the win!
Winner: Lei Ying Lee
Savannah Evans comes out to the ring and lays out Lei Ying Lee. She grabs Lee and tells her, “My time - not yours!” Evans hits Lee with a Full Nelson Slam.
Mike Santana is in the back. He’s been showing much more of who he is since returning to TNA. He’s the only man in TNA to go through the entire System. Not only did he beat Moose, but in doing so - he beat another former World Champion. His girl told him, after the match, that it was time to bring home the World Championship. Santana says that it’s only a matter of when.
Frankie Kazarian comes out with the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Trophy and joins the commentary table.
TNA Champion Nic Nemeth & Joe Hendry vs. JDC & Eddie Edwards with Alisha Edwards
Joe Hendry and Eddie Edwards start things off. They circle. They go to lock fingers, but Edwards takes a cheap shot. Edwards runs the ropes and Hendry hits a tackle, followed by a delayed suplex. Hendry tries to work an arm, but Edwards drives Hendry into the corner and tags JDC in.
JDC gets in some strikes, but Hendry whips him into the corner and hits a delayed slam. Nic Nemeth tags in and he works over JDC’s arm. Hendry tags back in and keeps control. He whips JDC into the ropes and hits a tackle. Nemeth tags back in and continues the arm work on the canvas.
JDC almost reverses, but Nemeth keeps control and tags in Hendry. Hendry hits a suplex for a one count. Nemeth tags back in and keeps control of the arm. Nemeth hits a Rude Awakening, followed by Ten Shots to the Heart - knocking Edwards off of the apron in the process - for a two count.
Nemeth tunes up the band, but Alisha grabs at him. The distraction allows JDC to dump Nemeth to the outside. Eddie holds Nemeth for Alisha to hit him. Winners: The System
After the match, Joe Hendry tries to apologize to Nic Nemeth. Nemeth isn’t happy and leaves the ring. Hendry follows Nemeth to the ramp. Nemeth tells him that “Everyone gets one” and then shoulders Hendry as he tries to walk away. Hendry spins Nemeth around and they continue to yell at each other until Nemeth storms away.
