SECOND TNA IMPACT TAPING SPOILER REPORT FROM DETROIT

By Jason Harper on 2024-10-28 10:55:00

As expected, a smaller set up than Saturday night. All the bleachers on the hard cam side are folded up.

Xplosion:

Rohit Raju vs. Leon Slater.  Good opener. Slater hit a cool dive over the turnpost.  Slater wins with 450 swanton dive.

Missa Kate vs. Xia Brookside.  Kate is from the Chicago area.  Brookside won with hiptoss into a bridge. Cool looking move

Silas Young vs. Laredo Kid.  Hopefully Kid comes off better than his quick exit yesterday.  Veteran putting over the youngster and Young looked good.  Laredo won with 450 after Young missed his split leg moonsault

Impact Halloween show:

Dani Luna vs. Ash.  Ash was announced as being from Cleveland and Detroit crowd made the post production guys work with F**k Ohio chants.  Heather hit Luna with a witches broom as the concierge distracted the ref. Then Ash with a moonsault for the pin.

Joe Hendry comes out but not really.... It's Frankie Kazarian in a wig and he does a damn good impersonation. This brings out the real Joe Hendry who hits some good zingers on Frankie.

Hendry blames Frankie, John Mayfield, and Nic Nemeth for the loss at BFG. That brings out Nemeth.  Nemeth tells Hendry that he deserves a rematch but Santino said no and that the system is flawed.

On cue, the System comes out and talks about how they run things.  Nemeth challenges the system to a tag match later in the night.  Frankie offers to team with Hendry and Nemeth and is laid out with a superkick and a Hendry slam.

After the break, Alisha Edwards is still at ringside and continues to talk about the system running things and calls out Masha Slamovich, who answers. Masha says she wants a fight.... Tasha Steelz and Alesha attack Masha.... Jordynne Grace saves Masha and Santino comes out to make a tag match for next week.

First Class ( KC and AJ) vs. The Rascalz.  Good fun match. Rascalz paid tribute to mother City machine guns.  First Class worked the crowd well and got good heel heat.  KC was a bump machine.  AJ pinned Trey with a choke slam.

Josh Alexander and Good Hands vs. Eric Young, Jonathan Gresham, and Steve Maclin.

Alexander did mic work claiming the Northern Army wasn't her because of transportation issues caused by TNA so he recruited the Good Hands.  Lots of ‘Walking Weiner’ chants.  Not bad but not everything clicked and the timing was off on some spots.  Alexander left half way through leaving Good Hands to take the beat down by Macklin.

Trent Seven Vs. El Hijo Del Vikingo.  Technical match with code of honor followed. Match was rolling along until It appears that El Hijo Del Vikingo suffered a leg injury in his match with Trent Seven.  Vikingo went for his springboard and five and it looked like Seven missed him a little and Vikingo hit the ground hard.  They immediately stopped the match and several agents came out. Vikingo was stretched off by legitimate EMS.

Jade Chung tried to get the energy back and we took a break from impact for a Xplosion match.

 Xplosion match:

Jake Something and Alex Hammerstone vs. Bhupinder Gujjar and Jack Price.  Price is a local guy.    Something reminds me of a young Hercules Hernandez.  Something and Hammerstone won in a basic squash

Back to Impact:

Lei Yi Ying vs already in ring Maggie Moore.  Moore is very young but has a great look and has potential with more seasoning.  Ying won and was then attacked by Savannah Evans

Frankie Kazarian came down to join commentary for the main event.

The System (Eddie Edwards and JDC) vs. Joe Hendry and Nic Nemeth.  They gave the match some time.  Edwards pinned Nemeth after the psycho knee set up by a miscue where Hendry accidentally hit Nemeth.  Nemeth and Hendry argue on the ramp as we conclude Halloween night's Impact.

Impact 11/7:

Moose vs. Mike Bailey.  Lengthy match and stuff at times Lots of Moose fans.  This is awesome and fight forever chants.  Hell of a match. Bailey may have match of the night back to back nights with two completely different opponents.   Fantastic match.  I'm almost positive that announced Moose as the new champion but Jade was hard to hear all night.  In any case.....Watch this match.

After the match, Trent Seven came out to put over Bailey only to low blow him and nail him with a clothesline.

Wendy Choo vs Rosemary.  Hard to follow the last match.  Rosemary won using the cane along with her finisher.

Concierge comes out and cuts a promo introducing Heather by Elegance.   Heather vs. Jody Threat.  Decent match.  Jody wins with F5 or whatever she calls it.  Ash is upset. Ash and the Concierge are great characters.

Joe Hendry comes out and says he is going to talk about Ryan Nemeth.  Hendry made a video with all the highlights of Ryan's career which ended up being a short video staring that Ryan is nic's brother.  Hendry challenges Ryan Nemeth to a match on Nov 14 impact

Tasha Steelz and Alisha Edwards vs. Jordynne Grace and Masha Slamovich.  Alisha is great in her role but every time she said something the crowd responded with shut the F up and other vulgar things that will never make air.  Masha defeated Alisha with a sleeperhold.

ABC vs. Hardys.  Amazing how over the Hardy's are even after all these years.  Fun match.  Hardys win.  Chris Bey suffered an apparent neck injury.  It looked like Bey's neck hit the mat awkwardly after a mistimed jump into Hardy's stunner.  EMS spent several minutes with him in the ring placing him in a neck brace before removing him on a stretcher .  The injury definitely appeared serious as Bey had very little movement before being wheeled out.

A little subdued after the injury, Jade announced that we were going to end the night with a concert but earlier it was announced that there would be a street fight with Rhino and Matt Cardona but they may have scrapped that match.

In any case, Joe Hendry came out to do an acoustic concert.  This was not part of the impact TV show....just a bonus for the fans.  Hendry brought out the Detroit drum kings....they were fun but again everything is a little subdued.  Hendry then brought out Jeff Hardy.  It had to be hard for him to perform.  After performing Hardy's original theme song from 2004.... Hendry and Hardy went to perform another song only to be interrupted by AJ Francis who took the finishing moves to send the crowd home happy.

No Rhino/Cardona street fight.
