Some notes from Crown Jewel:
*Paul Levesque announced the first-ever Crown Jewel Champions would be crowned at the 11/2 Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER and WWE Women's Champion Liv Morgan vs. WWE Women's World Champion Nia Jax. While their respective championships will not be on the line, the winners will win those championships. If there are title changes before the Crown Jewel event, the new champion(s) would be involved.
*Kevin Owens turned heel in a scene that took place outside the arena in full view of fans outside Cody Rhodes' bus. The idea was to make it a viral moment online as fans would film and share it online.
*PWInsiderElite.com reported back on 9/9 that there were storyline pitches for the return of Raquel Rodriguez, including a potential heel turn. Tonight, they pulled the trigger on that with Rodriquez assisting Liv Morgan. She will be aligned with Judgment Day officially going forward. There was had been talk about her potentially returning as far back as July. In January, Rodriguez revealed that she was diagnosed with Mast cell activation syndrome. She wrestled at the 2024 Elimination Chamber in Australia despite a flareup of the condition. She last wrestled on Raw, defeating Chelsea Green on the 2/26 edition. She was been pulled from the active roster back in March.
*Bill Goldberg was at the show with his wife and son. They teased him vs. GUNTHER for down the line.
